Do you eBay?

How easy is it to sell stuff?

It always looks a bit complicated to me - with all the piccies etc, wouldn't have a clue where to start.
I'm still new to selling and find it pretty time-consuming at the moment, but I imagine it's a bit like on-line grocery shopping and will become easier after a bit of practice. My b-i-l is an old hand at it, so I got him to talk me through a practice run before I ever sold something for real.

My first Tesco on-line shop took so long I could have gone to Tesco myself, done the shopping and unpacked it all in the time it took me to get it all on the PC! ;) After that it did get easier, so I'm assuming it will be the same with eBay.

I found a couple of useful books in the library about eBaying, and reading through them made things make sense, too.

It's actually very easy to sell, make a few preparations and you can't go wrong. Firstly, use notepad or something to write the text descriptions of each item, and then save it. That way you can just copy and paste the relevant piece of text into the item description box (and also gives you more thinking time to change anything) Then decide on a start price and add that beside the text as a little mental floss. Also, if you want piccies, take them all at the same time, and load them up into paint shop pro or something similar, and re-save them as suitable size jpgs (ie you dont want to end up with a full 1000x800 pixel picture!). Package up the item as you would if you were sending it, and weigh it, then check for what the postage rates would be on the royal mail site so you can tell people in advance the postage costs (personally I HATE people who charge exorbitant postage prices!!)

Once you've got the groundwork done, you can log in and go thru the selling steps, copying the description, giving other data and uploading your relevant piccy...then sit back and wait!

I've sold quite a bit on ebay most successfully, and am also an ardent buyer, almost all my WDW plates came from ebay and some nice bargains they were too ;) . Not into pins, so always use my favourite search: "Disney World" -pin ! Been almost 3 years since my last WDW fix, so need SOMETHING to ease the cravings ::MickeyMo

I use eBay. Bought and sold lots of things. But I think I have bought more than I have ever sold.
