Reading complaints on a a cruise forum (not DIS) from people on an Alaskan cruise. People upset that the restaurants in port have menus predominately of seafood and fish dishes.
Well, for most I would expect that to be something they expected on an Alaskan cruise.
So you eat seafood or fish?

I definitely don’t mind seafood… as long as it’s not riddled with so much vinegar or extra sauce.

No.

Well, VERY occasionally shellfish, but I'm picky about that (there better be no tail on the shrimp for example).

Any fish elicits a gag reflex after I choked on a bone to the point of gagging when I was in first grade. Anything with the remote taste or texture of fish and NO ONE wants to see what happens. The body doesn't forget.

I eat a lot of seafood as I've grown older. I don't enjoy the raw stuff, but I do enjoy sushi that has smoked or cooked varieties of seafood. Pretty much any and all versions of the cooked stuff is not a problem for me either. Now I'm gonna have to go grab some sushi soon. It's been a while since I've had some.

I am not a big fan of shellfish, but I do like fish, either ocean or fresh water. I actually wouldn't say I eat it a lot, but sometimes. My mom is always making salmon, so if I go there for dinner, that's usually on the table. I like grilled swordfish a lot too.

LOVE IT! I was thrilled to recently find a local place that's offering catfish. one thing from moving i miss is having trout easily available at the area grocery stores (did allot of BBQ with them).

if someone on an Alaskan cruise wants a bite to eat that's non fish laden-hit the red onion saloon in skagway for great chili, pizza and pulled pork sandwiches. in juneau go to the alaskan brewing house-briskit, pulled pork, wild boar..

And I still very much enjoy the Cavenders seasoning you recommended on my salmon to this day. :)

Very selectively.
Only shrimp in things....because it has no taste to me. Tastes like what it is in.
Fish and chips.....but it has to be good white fish on a batter not breaded and with really good tartar sauce.....so I don't taste the fish :rotf:
Canned tuna at home with my mix in it,

I eat seafood/fish although probably what you'd class as selectively. I'll eat most white fish (cod etc) whether plain or with breading/batter, shrimps & prawns (especially if breaded/battered), lobster, scallops, crab. But I can't stand tuna, salmon, really smelly fish and hate the texture of mussels and oysters etc. The rule of thumb for me with fish and seafood is that if its battered or breaded I'll eat it without question 😂

I enjoy seafood. Raw oysters or clams are OK. I like lox as well as cooked salmon.

My favorite meal in Palo on DCL is the Dover sole!

Didn’t have this option, but all of it, fish, shellfish, lake, ocean, cooked, raw, prepared any way. Most of us love raw oysters and grilled octopus, my kids have been eating raw sushi since they were little (thank goodness for AYCE sushi restaurants).

Canned tuna at home with my mix in it,
I have to admit the fish and chips made with fresh salmon on one of my Alaska cruises were amazing.
