Do you eat quinoa?

We all like it, but don't eat it that often. It is it's own thing -- its look/texture is kind of a cross between couscous and pasta, but when it's cooking, it smells like a vegetable. It has a pretty neutral taste with a somewhat nutty flavor. Worth trying, for sure.

I tried. I really tried, because I wanted to take advantage of the protein content. Washed it religiously, purchased the industrially-washed version, cooked it in broth -- everything. It still made me violently ill.

I looked it up, and it seems that a small percentage of people just cannot digest it properly, even after it has been washed. Apparently, I'm part of that club. DH can eat it just fine, and especially likes it for breakfast made in the style of hot oatmeal, with sugar and cream on top.

I had the same reaction :confused3 I really liked it but it didn't like me.
