Do you eat crispy fried eggs?

Until today, I didn't even realize they were a thing. I have accidentally cooked fried eggs with a little crispy, but never on purpose.
Of course until this year......thanks to the DIS, I had never heard of "rare" scrambled eggs.

Yuck, no. I happened to make fried eggs for myself and DH this morning. One of them came out a little crispy and I gave that to my husband lol

I didn't realize that this was a thing that people did intentionally. The important thing to me is that - according to the article - the yolk is still runny.

Yes, always crispy. The pic in the article is a lot over done. More of a gelatinous yoke than a runny yoke. They don't need to be as crispy as shown in that picture.

If I'm eating now, it's over easy, little crispy on the whites, runny on the yoke. If I'm bulk cooking for sandwiches I put in the freezer, then it's break the yoke and flip it, cooked crispy.

"Rare" scrambled eggs sound something like the classic French-style scrambled eggs vs. diner-style.

I don't eat fried eggs at all. I'm not a huge fan of eggs, but will eat them scrambled every now and then.

I think this is when the edges are so thin they harden? Along with the runny yolk, neither of these things is something I'm into. I prefer fluffy scrambled eggs, not that rushed, sunny side up abomination akin to any corner-cutting cook who hates the Waffle House they work at.
