Do you dress alike at WDW???

jfulcer, have you to submit that MINNIE MOUSE family photo to the Disney Magazine, your dh is just a riot!! At least he's not afraid to do something like that!! Cracked me up. What a great picture!! So, are the others, but that one is a classic!! Looks like you had a great time!!

I'd love to dress the same as my dd. I finally found 2 shirts at the Disney store on clearance that I was able to get for me and for her. It is pretty tough finding stuff in her size and my size (that I like & that's reasonable).

So, far the Disney Catalog's stuff shows dresses that would drag on the ground on me! I like the lastest tropical family set but that dress would never work for my 5'3 height:(

I found a shirt in Old Navy the other day like dd's so I picked that one up even though I hate the way it looks on me! I would love to find matching dresses. AS far as my DH, I don't think he'd get in on the matching thing.

Jeff, if your family wasn't so cute I'd be literally ILL right now.... TOOO cute!

My son is 11 and I'm from Brooklyn, two reasons why we don't do this!! :p

Eer, no we don't. But then again we don't have kids either. I think it is kind of fun to look at families who make their own t-shirts and all wear the same etc but it is not something we would ever do.

we coordinate -- but certainly don't match ---- and we own lots of Disney gear. Loved the pics of those who do:) :yo-yo: pirate:

We ususally do it each trip for about 1-2 days. My sister buys them for all 10 of us and we wear them once or twice during the trip. This last trip, we brought my DD friend, 17. I thought that was going to put my daughter over the edge and that she would say "enough"! But she and her friend were more than happy to put them on. It does make a great picture.

If my husband and I happen to pick the same color shirt, I make him go change, lol.

No we didn't, but I think it's great! And we may do it for one day next trip. :) I do dress my son's alike. That's more out of convenience for me though. lol (Easy shopping!)

2 Christmas' ago, DH bought us "Disney Fun Seeker" tee-shirts. I believe we have worn them all on the same day--if not DD and I did. I have 2 of them so I wear the 'smae' shirt twice. Sometimes we all wear our college shirts on the same day but they aren't the same exact shirts.

Jeff,
Those pics are priceless. I love how your family looks at WDW! If I ran into you all there, I'd probably be like Dan Murphy and want to take your pic! Your creativity/talent is wonderful. What a special family you seem to be!:)

So are you saying that YOU make the outfits? if so WOW!
I wish I could be creative, those dresses were great!

Jeff,

Did you do the custome embroidery to? I love your sewing!! You do a great job!!

I am really surprised that more families (on this forum) don't dress alike. We usually dress alike three or four times during our stay, because it makes the pictures look great.

I had planned to do this for our upcoming trip, but we are bringing my 9 yr old nephew (his 1st trip) and I remember him rolling his eyes when we brought him back a Mickey shirt two years ago (when he was 7).

We will probably all get matching Old Navy tees ($5!!) and wear those. It won't look as nice as the matching Mickey tees that we get each trip.

My troop would LOVE to do this. (See the thread I jsut started about this very thing!)

You know teenagers...sometimes they travel and THINK in a pack..not an orriginal thought amoung them.

We've been guilty of wearing the same Old Navy shirts for the 4th of July. Those $5 t-shirts are hard to pass up !!!
LOl
Every 4th of july my mothers buys the entire family these shirts, and each individual family has their own color. We take a family photo then my neices 17 and 14 insist on changing. My sisiter tried to convince everyone to wear the shirts on the same day on our disney trip in 2003, didint happen. I pretty much dress my kids alike or at least coordinate every day.

No, we never dress alike in WDW or anywhere else for that matter!!! :p

Ditto for us.

Dressing alike or in any themed tee shirts is just not my thing.

Tacky!!!

I don't think it is tacky at all if they enjoy it! I love Jeff's creations, and if it makes it easier to keep track of children then all the more power to them.

I try to keep my boys in at least the same color range to keep tabs on them.

Absolutely not!!! I get mad when DH wears the same color as me. I did buy the matching family clothes at the Disney Store and we're going to get our picture taken this summer in the outfits. My cousin joked and said, now you can all dress alike on your trip in Nov. DH just laughed and said, I never have to worry about that!

YUP!!! Last Ocotber there were about 17 of us all at the MK for my son's 3rd b-day. We all wore matching T-shirts that I picked up for everyone and we all went and got our hair gelled blue from the barbar shop. We had a blast!!!

My kids think it is cool...so before they out grow it..I would like to enjoy it!LOL!

You are DEFINITELY Onecoolmama!!

Jfulcer, you must tell DH that I think he is a terrific sport, although it really looks like he enjoys the matching tshirts. Great pictures!

When I want my DH to wear the same tshirt as everyone else, I pack it myself, and just toss it to him while he is getting ready and say, "put it on, you don't have a choice!" It worked the last time, and it included him, me, DS4, DS6, AND his DMIL&DFIL. I thought he was a good sport then, too.;)

I agree with alot of you folks, it is silly (I don't think it's TACKY!), but while the kids are little enough to think it's fun, what's a little silliness while you are at the World.? Does anyone REALLY take anything seriously at WDW anyway?? I try not to...

We do!!!! It drives the men in our family insane but they usually will do it for my mom!!

I agree it looks great when you do it with your picture with Mickey and it really helps out on the scrapbooking too!

We went on the Disney cruise last year and my mom has one of the Brother Disney Embroidery machines so we each had a T-shirt and a Polo shirt to wear during the trip. Our servers loved them so much my mom came home and made them matching shirts too!!! So now we will always be a part of the Disney Magic!!
