Our family HATES taking the time to eat a big ol breakfast when we are on vacation and on our last trip to Disney NEVER ate breakfast out. We did cereal in the room and couldn't imagine having our prime touring time being used to eat b-fast.

But we know many out there love those big b-fasts and the buffets.

So how about you all, do you do a big breakfast at Disney? If so what time do you usualy go?

And if you don't what do you do to at least get something to eat in the morning??

We usually plan one character breakfast buffet, but the rest of the time it is pop tarts and oatmeal in the hotel room.

We generally eat breakfast in the room. I usually schedule one character b/f per trip. I always felt the same way, wasting too much time. I do however see that if you visit more often the attitude changes a bit, we are going in Nov again this year b/c I was very ill during our May trip. It will only be a 4 night trip and I have only scheduled Kona one day and Concourse the morning we leave.

oh yea !!!! we eat at chef mickeys every time....love it love it..we would rather eat early than later....we go at about 8 or so..this time for the kids we are also doing the donald breakfast in animal kingdom...

I don't eat breakfast at home, aside from one Character b'fast we plan to eat in our room.

I think the girls in our travel party would be pefectly content with bagels or cereal in the room. :earsgirl: :earsgirl: ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

However...the guys always want to go down to the food court and get a big breakfast. We usually give in to them otherwise all of the walking and shopping etc. gets them real grumpy, real fast! pirate: pirate:

They seem to function better with full stomaches! :earboy2: :earboy2:

We like to arrive at the parks before they open, and eating breakfast at the foodcourt or whatever would take up too much time. We drive to WDW, so I always bring donuts, muffins, bananas, juice boxes, etc. so we can have something to hold us over until lunch. We're then ready for an early lunch, and thus an early dinner, which is great, because the restaurants are less crowded then and it's easier to get seated right away.

We like to get up fairly early & get out to the parks, before they open. We also like to do an off site buffet a couple of mornings. Most breakfasts are fruit, cereal or oatmeal & coffee in the room. If we get antsy, it's a churro & hot coffee in Epcot, or the ABC Commissary. In a studio or 1 bdrm DH makes 'big breakfast'-- :sunny:

Because our lives are so hectic, we never eat "big breakfast" at home. So when on vacation, we always schedule a few really nice breakfasts. On our upcoming trip we are doing Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and Kona. There is just something about sitting down with a big cup of coffee and relaxing in a nice restaurant atmosphere that makes me feel like I'm on vacation. Of course, we don't do it every day, most days we have to hit the parks early and hard!

Our trips are usually for 9-10 nights, so we mix things up a bit. If we are going in to a park early, it's cereal, poptarts, yogurt, or bagels in the room. I also bring grapes, apples, bananas, and cheese cubes with us. So, we have plenty to eat while we get ready to hit a park. Now, if it is a day we have to go into a park late, then we sleep in and have a late breakfast somewhere. Some of our favorites are 1900 Park Fare, Kona, Trail's End, and Boma.

We plan our "big breakfast" for our Water Park day since they typically don't open to 10am. You can have a wonderful breakfast at one of the resorts, then take that resort's bus to BB or TL.

Other than that, we sort of grab something, depending on what everyone feels like. Sometimes one of us will go to the food court and pick up cereal, fruit, bagels, whatever and we eat as we're getting ready.

We've gone a few times without having breakfast, but I find once we enter the park, I can't get anyone to stop for a bite! Then everyone crashes about 11am. And it's an early lunch!

We usually do one character breakfast. If it's at a park, we try to get the earliest seating. If it's at a resort, we usually do a late breakfast on one of our "free" days.

We stayed at the Swan or Dolphin during our last few trips and always went to Spoodles for breakfast. They have a great, reasonably priced breakfast.

In December, we're staying at WL and plan on doing breakfast at WCC once.

Usually we eat a muffin in the room.

I'm not even up for breakfast. :teeth: We "do" lunch.

Ditto to that. If we are at a park before 11:00, it's earth shattering. Our stomachs start waking up around noon.

On a water park day or day when we are starting later, we will go out for breakfast (probably food court). On days when we have to be at the park by 9, may pick up a bagel or donut quickly at the food court if there is time. But an EMH (especially MK when we'll head directly to splash and BTM), no time for breakfast - we'll pick up a mid-morning snack. We are going to fast to notice being hungry anyway.

We are early risers and like to get to parks at opening. (Well at least I do, and DW humors me most of the time. :rolleyes1 )

So we eat cereal and bagels (sometimes eggs) in our room, and are plenty hungry by lunchtime. We don't bother with even one character breakfast, as we end up getting characters at places we like to eat anyway, such as Garden Grill and Liberty Tree.

I had breakfast with Pooh in August. It was GREAT!!! And we had a 8:10 sitting so we were finished just around 9am and the best part was that we were already ahead of the crowds which got slowed down by all the characters on Main St. We got so much done from 9 to 10. Even on Dumbo which was about our 4th ride we got on the next "flight". I have pictures of my DS on the carosel and you can't see a single person in fantasy land.

I will absolutely do breakfast in the parks before opening again. I wouldn't take park time to do breakfast.

We do a bit of both, quick breakfast in the room and character breakfast.

My son and I will grab a pop tart or granola bar before heading to the bus stop.

This will hold us over until it's time for a late breakfast seating in the parks. This allows us time to take advantage of EMH and grab a few fast passes before enjoying a relaxing :rotfl2: breakfast with the characters.

We eat a full breakfast everyday. In everyday life we don't accomplish much before lunch but at WDW we're walking all over the place and are generally pretty active in the morning so we need some good energy. Oh and it doesn't hurt that all our breakfasts are covered in the package we always use. Even without the package I think we'd eat a sit down breakfast (character or otherwise) since we enjoy it so much.

We do beakfast on our vacation, CP, Chef Mickey's, Donald's Restaurantasaurus etc. My kids get to be with their aunt & uncle, eat a good breakfast and see the characters up close without standing in lines.
Later on in the afternoon, we'll stop for a snack but no lunch. For dinner we have ADRs & enjoy discussing what we did & what we plan on doing next. :flower:
