Do you decorate your resort room window?

Last year our mousekeeping started it. After that, everyday we had the kids decorate the window with their play figures. :goodvibes

This year we'll be at the BWV on halloween. We are waitlisted for a Boardwalk view. If we get it, we'll for sure put up decorations in our window.

I've never decorated before, but this year I'm planning to put orange lights in the window. I've got those cling suction cup hooks and orange Christmas lights. I think I'll also put a lime green Mickey head on the door with my username on it. If you're at POP between 10/4 & 10/9, come see me!

Julie - What a GREAT idea!!!! We'll be there 10/4-10/10 - I'll think of something to put on my door as well !! LOL

You know, I NEVER thought to decorate my window! I don't know why...it just never crossed our mind!! So I'm definitely going to do it this year! Thanks for bringing this up!!

All of us DIS'ers should put a lime green Mickey head on the door or in the window. How cool would that be to see another DIS'er as you're heading to your room. I think I'm going to put one on my door - if you see it - go ahead and knock!! I'd love to meet you!! (As long as it's not 6:00 a.m. or 11:00 p.m., that is!)

The maids don't mind if you put something on your door or in your window??
Great idea! I'm going to do that in December, but I'm going to remove it when I'm sleeping.

Good idea! I'll put the lime green mickey head on my door at PC while we are there and put my username on it! We'll be there 9/23 checking out 10/1. Anyone at Pop during that time stop by and say HI! I will also take it down when we are sleeping.

Zandy - Maybe you could start a thread on the Pop board about this idea? That way we could maybe meet more people!
Glad you started this thread!

We usally decorated a lot when we stayed off site. I bought disney clings for mirrors and stuff animals! It is fun ::MickeyMo
I plan on TRYING to make a sign and TRYING to make a shirt with
PAMOUSELOVER on it, so please grab me I have been know to talk to stangers anyway(GOT THAT FROM MY MAMA)!
On our last trip I saw a lady with a green piece of ribbon on her car and asked her if she goes on the dis web site, she said no and I said sorry it just they use green down here at the world to identify themselves. She thought I was crazy! I plan on wearing a lime green something! :bounce:

Something wrong there Zandy595 ? :rotfl:
Just a little confused about your picture and comment. :confused3

Last year at Halloween, we decorated our balcony for the first time. We used those silly spider webs with the plastic spiders at BWV. They worked great! We did clean up after Halloween, so as not to leave more work for Mousekeeping. We will be at WL 10/22-10/29, so I'm planning to bring Halloween decorations again, maybe window clings, or a plug-in, light-up something. It's great fun and makes the place feel more like your own.

Enjoy!

We have decorated for x-mas before it was fun!

When we travel with the cheerleaders we put signs on our doors that show the cheerleader staying in the room so everyone know who is in each room!!
We do this whatever hotel we stay at!! :)

I'm as big a WDW nut as anyone can be, but unless you have kids, and perhaps at christmas time, I don't see the point in decorating the windows. Must just be me...... :confused3

A side note: Zandy595 and Denmark, what are you folks talking about? What's with the photos and comments. I see two of my favorite people, George Bush and Mother Angelica, and was wondering what the point was?

Boy, I'm really off topic now, aren't I? :earsboy:

On our cruise, we had a dry erase magnetic board for the door, and a small magnetic dry erase marker. Especially helpful if you're with a group of people. That way you can leave notes for each other.

A side note here too,

1. picture: Picture mainly used for posting in forums. In this case, used as a joke, but would be fun to put on a resort door at WDW. (I wouldt do that, but since this topic is about decorating rooms/doors at wdw resorts...).

No harm intended, just my 2.5 cents!

Aww, now I want to go down on a cool holiday to decorate.

How the heck do I decorate for Labor Day? Stick the picture of myself pregnant in a bikini on the door? That could be constituted as cruel and unusual punishment... What about MLK day? Just not very festive, our choices of vacation time, I think.

We've actually decorated the windowsills with Polly Pockets having battles on dragons with matchbox cars zooming around them-my girls have pretty eclectic tastes when it comes to toys and no end of imagination...

We always decorate our window. Every night when we return from the parks, we place all of the souviniers that we bought in our window. This time we took string and hung my sons Stich ears and claws from the top of the window as if he was climbing down the window.

It's hard to hear sarcasm through a computer screen. Just wanted to be clear. Do you read every thread and post a comment, whether you're interested in the topic or not? :confused3 I'm not trying to start a debate, just wondering.

For those of you who have posted about the actual topic, thank you. I enjoy reading your fun window decorating ideas. :flower:
