Do you cry?

I really miss deep shag, burnt orange carpet, and paneling on every wall! Those were the days!

I cry pretty easily, always have. BUT, I do *not* cry at work...that's a pet peeve of mine.

It takes a lot to make me cry. My daughter just got married and I didn't cry till the ceremony was over. She danced with her dad, and then I cried.

If I cry, it's usually caused from a very stressful situation, and then something little will send me to tears. I just bottle it up until it explodes, and I am mad at myself for not keep control.

I hate to cry.

Yes, I do cry pretty easily. My DH doesn't understand why I even watch ER, b/c he wonders why I would watch something that just makes me cry.

I do the announcements for our Sunday School dept. every Sunday and the worst is when I have to say something emotional to everybody. I get this big knot in my chest and feel a little yucky, and then I end up crying while I'm saying whatever it is I have to announce or say. On the other hand, if it's a spur of the moment thing, it's not so bad as I don't have time to think about the meaning of what I'm getting ready to say. I think it's just the build-up in my mind.

I wonder if it's genetic, since my mom does the same thing. I always teased her by telling her she'd cry over the weather report. :)

I'm a very emotional person. I cry at commercials!~ LOL I cry when I'm happy! I cry when I'm sad. I cry when I'm frustrated, I cry when I'm angry. I just like to cry! :p

<font color=navy>Ask my kids that & they'll roll their eyes --

I cry when I'm mad
I cry when I'm happy
I cry when I see babies
I cry at beauty
I cry when people are mean to others
I cry when people are good to others
I cry at special moments
I cry when I'm really sad
I cry when others are hurting
I cry when others are happy
I cry at injustice
I cry when I start to tear up (I sometimes really hate crying)
I cry when I read
I cry at movies
I cry during a song that touches me - whether there are words or just music
I cry when I worship, especially if I'm singing (others cry, too, when they hear me sing, but that's a different story)

I remember I cried for about 15 minutes after I read Old Yeller (I was 9), and I cried all the way home after watching The Trial of Billy Jack (I think I was 13). I cried when I read a book called Knight in Shining Armour by Jude Deveraux (a silly romance story), and I cried when the Outsider was killed in a book called Watchers by Dean Koontz.

... and it's not pretty crying -- no -- my nose starts to turn red - that's how my dd knows that I'm crying, even before the tears fall

I've resigned myself to the fact that I cannot hold my emotions in, so I just let it go, and laugh at myself - most of the time.

Ok, I do cry. But it takes alot. When I am pregnant..I cry at stupid things..like movies...but not when I am not.

I ironically, I was pregnant and my grandmother died..it was a huge loss and I would not shed one tear. I am quicker to get mad..and that even takes alot.

Oh, I just love a good cry. Last night I saw the preview for the new movie "Notebook" & I sat right there & cried. Ofcourse that is becasue I had already read the book & I cried as I read it. I'll cry over anything, even cartoons. :)

Rarely. And when I do, it's usually because I've heard of an animal or a child being hurt. I am not the type to become outwardly emotional. I bottle alot up. Probably not very healthy.

Oh, unless you count when Jolie said she wasn't leaving Monkeyboy for me... ;)

I never used to be a crier, but since my son was born, I have become one. At work, I counsel parents, so there are a lot of tears in my office. It's sometimes hard for me to handle because I feel myself wanting to cry along with them, but I really can't.

I cry easily and generally it makes me feel better, kind of like an emotional release. Drives my DH nuts, he can not understand crying at all and always says that crying will not "solve" anything. That is true, but it really makes me feel better.

This can be a problem in the workplace however, and I have had to work very hard at not crying at work. I am a nurse and an attorney and when working as a nurse it is much more acceptable to cry at work, especially when you are dealing with family members at either very happy or very sad times. It can even be acceptable to cry with your manager over work issues without being looked down upon.

However, in the legal field it is really not looked on favorably to be a "crier". I know I did cry when I lost my first trial, but I did it alone in the bathroom at the couthouse and really had to work hard not to continue back at the office when discussing the verdict with coworkers.

I think it may be genetic, my mom is a crier and my kids cry at the drop of a hat!

Just check out my tag for the answer to the OP!

I cry a lot. I cry at graduations, I cried watching Reagan's funeral, I cry when watching long lost family reunion shows, on my kids first day of school, etc.

I cry really badly when I lose a cat.

I find myself crying everyday while reading these boards!

Bob made me cry yesterday when I saw that picture Ed posted of him in that dress ! But mostly because it looked much better on him! :teeth:

But, I will cry if someone else is crying, especially a guy! I will just blubber like a baby!

Just for the record, Knight is NOT the person I was referring to in the original post. :D
