Do you cry when you get to WDW?

My husband always makes fun of me for being a "steel hearted b" - I very rarely cry. E.T. died, Spock died, opening of Up, nothing. I'll say, "Oh, that's so sad" and feel it very deeply but in general, tears don't come. It's just the way I am.

So imagine my complete and utter surprise this past June 6th when the lights dimmed in the Magic Kingdom, we were in the FP+ section for the Main Street Electrical Parade, the music started, and that strange electronic voice sang, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls," and I couldn't see because my eyes were swimming with tears.

No.
I love entering the MK, but I'm usually all business. Get me on a ride! I mostly see Main St as an obstacle, not a destination.
My favorite is entering MK at night, when there are throngs of folks leaving MK. The night owl club members are so much fun!

The closest we come to tears is when we leave.

I have to admit, that yes I do cry whenever we enter MK. Only that park though. Maybe it's the 18 hours it takes to get there with 5 children? Lol. Can't imagine not tearing up no matter how many times we go though

I usually start crying when I open the envelope they hang on my door...

I always cry when I watch the fireworks show and do not get me started when it starts to "snow" during Christmas time at DL... my husband always makes fun of me and before the fireworks show begins he looks at me telling me "are you crying yet..." I get sucked into the magic. We will be taking our first trip to WDW this summer.. I have a feeling I am going to be a mess when we go to the new Fantasy world area.. oh sweet Baby Jesus in the sky... I am going to loss it during the Electrical parade as it was taken away from DL soooo long ago and I remember it from being a child.

I only cry at certain attractions. Basically, I cry at inspirational shows and displays like the Hall of Presidents, the American Adventure and One Man's Dream.

That is almost my story. I was so happy to be there I just started crying when I saw Mickey Mouse our first day in the park. I told him that I never thought I would get to meet him. Then he hugged me really tight, which made me cry even more. Ok, I'm crying now.
Me too, particularly when I got to the part that Mickey hugged you really tight!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I always cry each trip at One Man's Dream!

And snow on Main Street, not sure why that, lol.

I always get a little weepy going into Disneyland or the MK for the first time on a trip. We were at DLR last Dec for DD's first trip, and I was a little more emotional than usual. But I've been more prone to tears since the pregnancy.

But the thing that gets me really going, is Festival of the Lion King. I literally sob through the first five minutes. Every. Time. Even if I watch it on YouTube. I have so many memories and emotions tied to that show, that there is no stopping it.

DH just makes fun of me in a good natured way, and we move on.

Yes specifically during the MK welcome show when the Casey Jr. song starts and the steam train comes out with all the characters. My first glimpse of Mickey gets me choked up every time! I'm tearing up thinking about it now:sad:

When I met Ariel in her grotto on my first night in MK at 1:00 am I cried my eyes out! She has been my favorite since I was 4 years old. I waited 30 years to go to Disney! It was amazing.

I also cried during Wishes. Just hearing the music or watching the video makes me weepy.

I also cried so hard watching the planning DVD and knowing I was finally going! Jackie, the lady who play Marianne. I weep hearing how she just kept trying out and trying out and trying out! Knowing that was me trying to hard to get to Disney!

Then I get there and she's acting in the Indiana Jones show that day! I loved meeting her after!!!!

I always tear up during Wishes - hearing "and all our wishes will come true," reminds me how lucky I am to be at Disney with my perfect-for-me family. It makes me think of all the wishes that have already come true, and gives me hope for the ones that have yet to be realized. I'm getting choked up just thinking about it!

This thread should come with a warning to read with a box of tissue!

Yep...I cry every time I see the WDW entrance sign. And again when I start down Main Street at the MK. There's just something about knowing you're in your happy place! Can't wait to tear up on Sunday!

I always cry during the Beauty an the Beast stage show in HS. For some reason that is my "this is Disney" moment.

The kicker is - both kids said they don't want to see it on our upcoming trip!
