Do you crush on the famous?

I know some people in real life and have seen people here talk about there "famous crush".

I just don't get it.

It seems like I am the only one that never has a "famous crush". Am I alone in this?

I think I did when I was a kid, I had a thing for "The Outsiders" cast, yup all of them but that was obviously a very long time ago. Darn, I am old. LOL

Because, I think Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are gorgeous, but date wise? Well, I stand no chance, or anything, so, lol.

But I do think I have a 'crush' on the two leads of "Queer as Folk". (Gale Harold and Randy Harrison)

And I have this thing for Keira Knightly's beauty, despite being straight. *shrugs*

Yes. I'm almost 46 years old and I still "crush on the famous." However, my crushes are usually very longterm and I'm very loyal. It takes a lot to be added to the list. (Well, if you consider being named "Hugh" and having an accent "a lot.")

Orlando Bloom. I love him too. But he's still too old. :\

Nope, not alone.

I think I did when I was a kid, I had a thing for "The Outsiders" cast, yup all of them but that was obviously a very long time ago.

I didn't even as a kid. I thought it strange back then that some of my childhood friends did, and I think it stranger still that some adults do. It's just something that's never made any sense to me.

OK, here's my full admission to an all-out crush on Rob Thomas.

I told DH that if Rob Thomas walked through my front door and said "come on, let's go..." that he wouldn't have to ask a second time!

I am active on a board for Gerard Butler. (King Leonidas of "300", Phantom of the Opera and many other movies) I have been active for 3 years, gone to conventions, movie premiers, parties. We are a huge, loyal group and do a lot of work for charities. We have collected over $200,000 for charities and have future projects planned.
I have developed many new friendships from this "obsession". I have to admit, the flame has died down a bit but Gerry Butler is a very kind, normal kinda guy and appreciates his fan's loyalty so what is to loose? He has even participated in events when he was able to. He is getting so much busier with his increasing fame though, those days are sadly over. I have never met him but many fans have. Even my hubby goes to events with me and likes his work. I don't consider it a crush but an admiration.

Oh yea, Orlando Bloom! I'm definitely crushing......I would never leave my DH for him but he certainly is something to look at, and listen to and watch........sigh!

There are many out there that while watching something they are in, I'll think "Ooo baby!". But when the credits roll... I then turn to hubby and think "Ooo baby!".

Absolutely. Since I was about 6, actually, but there have been very few considering it's spread over 30 years. Of the male variety there's been Donnie Osmond, Leif Garrett, ... long dry spell ... Brad Pitt and most recently Dave Matthews. Of course I'm an old married lady now and don't crush anymore except on hubby but it takes more than talent and a pretty face for me to notice anybody.

There is no famous person that I would drop dh for. I have it better than most of the "famous spouses" I would guess.
