Do you cover your pet with a blanket or throw?

It's gotten chilly here. :cold: Since my cat snoozes next to me on the couch or bed, I like to toss the blanket over her to keep her warm. :) She doesn't seem to mind. Sometimes, when she'd usually get up to follow me around, she's been staying all snuggled up & cosy under the blanket. :rotfl:

I had two cats. The one I just lost was my snuggle one. He used to dive under the covers no matter what the temperature. He slept behind the crook of my knees..The second cat does not like it so much. She sleeps on top of the blankets..

I don't have to throw cover over my Min Pin or my black kitty because they both burrow under my cover!

Well, of course I have to throw a coverlet (throw) on my furbabies so they don't catch a chill.:thumbsup2

Absolutely! My dogs are hairless so I know if I'm chilly, they are chilly too. Both love to lay under throws when watching TV and both sleep under the covers in bed with us. Neither of them like to wear clothing but when winter gets here, I do make them wear their coats when we go out for walks.

They are great snuggle bunnies!

Zippy is a Boston Terrier (short haired dog) & we keep the thermostat down, so yes to a blanket

Or he sleeps blissfully in my bed, surrounded in down puffs! :thumbsup2

I used to use a heating pad for mine........when Binky was old she used to love to lay on it..........oh how I miss her:sad1:
My kitten now, Yogi, loves to bury under the covers or in my hair.

I cover my dog with a lighweight fleece blanket if I feel like I need more than a t-shirt. I've ordered jammies for him to wear this winter, but they aren't here yet.

I bought the dog a parka this year. DH thought I had lost my mind, but as soon as the weather turned cool and he started to shiver, I put it on him. He seems to love it, so DH had to eat his words! The poor dog with burrow down in the blankets when it gets really cold!

I don't have a blanket big enough for my dog.

Tara has never liked to be covered up. She has a flannel comforter on the floor that she lies on, and she's good at rearranging it and burrowing into it when she's cold.

My girls both liked to be covered up when it's cold. They usually will keep their little faces out so they can breath, but that's often all you'll see. Oreo sleeps in my bed and in my vain attempt to keep her off of my comforter, she has her own fleecy blankets. Of course I usually still wake up with her head on my pillow and the rest of her under my blankets.

Taylor all you have to do is go to the nearest horse farm or racetrack and purchase your "baby" some silks or a blanket. Both would fit quite nicely.:thumbsup2

no, our cats prefer to decide when they will get under the covers - they dig and paw at the covers for me to lift them up. (and don't get me started on the standing there deciding for five minutes while I hold up the covers and all my heat escapes!!!!). If someone else covers them, they won't stay.

The dog - no blanket, but he does have his own pillow which he uses every night - he LOVES his pillow. In the few instances we have covered him for fun, he seems to like it.

:)

Our cat, Tucker, loves to snuggle under the blankets! He will paw at them to crawl under when we're in bed. Henry, our other cat, prefers to sleep on top of the blankets, though.

Our cat Casper will crawl under the blanket on the couch occasionally, but sleeps on top of it usually. Our dog Jack is a Newfie - no blanket needed. He'd sleep in the snowbanks if I'd let him

We put a throw over our greyhound when it's chilly. She seems to like it and will throw it off of herself if she gets too warm.

I have 3 long-haired Chihuahuas (all rescued from horrible puppy mills) who they love their blankets and pillows.

Whenever it is cooler temperatures, I like to throw their blankets in the dryer so after they have their bath, they have a snuggly-warm blanket to curl up in. They are not spoiled or anything . . .

I was trying to change the sheets on the bed and do house cleaning when I made the wacky mistake of bathing them and putting their blankets on the bed. Needless to say, the room or sheets did not get tended to until they were dry and out of their snuggle zones!
