Do you correct people about using *Land* or *World*

Yes, but I explain to them that there are people out there that will look at them as if they just grew a third eye if they use the wrong terminology

Actually I tell them that it will make getting around WDW or DLR easier if they know what they are talking about

Generally, I don't. It's just too much work.

I did, though, have to continually have to correct my mom the entire 16 days while we were at Disney World in December. She kept calling it "Disneyland."

My boyfriend kept calling WDW "Disneyland" when we were there for vacation. In fact, I was videotaping him on Main Street and he says, "Well, here I am in Disneyland....", then you hear me chiming in, "No, you're in Disney World"! Everyone laughs when they see that tape.

Most of the time I do. Just today, I woman I work with told me she and her DH hope to go to DisneyLand this year. I said: 'Oh, I've never been to California.' Her: 'Well, what's the one in Florida?'

She's a nice lady, though. I hope she makes it to one of them.

I too correct people! My very own brother just won a trip to Florida and said I don't want to go to Disney, we were there 10 years ago. (LOL, like it hasn't changed) then he went on to say maybe we'll go to MGM.

Ugh---how can people be so ignorant?! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is because I'm in California that I always correct people. If they are thinking we're going to Disneyland, that is a short trip away. Disney world is a day's flight (what with time changes).

I do it AAAAAALLLLL the time. My friends have finally learned the difference and they just make fun of me now since they know how much it annoys me.

I don't know why it bothers me so much?

I always correct people by saying that WDW Resosrt in FL really is a whole world of Disney.
