do you confirm your adr's?

After reading the previous posts, I will be confirming my ADRs before we leave for our vacation. I honestly haven't thought about checking on them before - I mean, I get a print-out when we check in the hotel, but, I've never called Disney Dining and reconfirmed my numbers. But, I would hate for something to go wrong, especially over the Christmas holiday (when we'll be there).

I already reconfirmed my ressies because I read some peoples were not there when they went to sue them. It couldn't hurt and didn't take long to do.
Better safe than sorry. :wizard:

I called last night to confirm them for 2 weeks from now, just to be sure. Didn't have any problems...

I didn't know you could get a printout at the resort, I'll probably do that to.

Yes, i did, and I will 2 weeks before my trip. Last CM, i got was not very well versed in the english language. :confused3

I\'ve made all the adr\'s I think we will make and have all the confirmation numbers stored until our october trip. question...do any of you confirm your adr\'s prior to leaving on your trip, or do you just show up with your confirmation numbers in tow? I\'d hate for anything to fall thru the cracks since we have our kids with us this trip, but since I have the confirmation numbers, that should be enough, right?

PLEASE DO THIS

I just had a mixup on my ADR\'s for next week. They scheduled Kona at 8pm and Coral Reef at 6pm on the same day when Kona should have been a day AFTER. I told them that did not make ANY SENSE. They had a ressie available for 8:20 on the RIGHT day but still...that made me upset. Had I not called to confirm who knows what would have happened!! I would have NO PROOF that they scheduled my ADR on the WRONG DAY. How are you supposed to prove that to the people at the podium?? She could not get my time I WAS SUPPOSED to have so now we have a later dinner than planned. I have older kids so its not that big of a deal but it would have been if we had younger kids or older people in our group that need meals at a certain time, kwim?

point being...my ADR\'s were messed up and I just lucked out. I don\'t think there was any other option for me at that point but the later time. All the tables were full on that day.

Had I just shown up on that day we probably would have missed a wonderful ADR with the free dining!

Thanks...just venting!!

be careful and confirm everyone!

I've read many stories on these boards of people being turned away because of an ADR mix-up. Think of the huge numbers of ressies made - there has to be some error. I call and confirm a a few days before I leave home (it only takes a few minutes, so why not?) Then I get the print-out when I check in at the resort and I carry that with me.

lovemickeyshouse - :scared1: Ooooo...that is soooo scary. At least write the numbers down or get a print out when you arrive. Unless you don't mind having counter service at the last minute. ;)

I just called a few days ago to confirm my ADRs. The cast member acted like I was insane for calling to just re-confirm. He was like "do you have your confirmation numbers?" I told him yes and he said that they were confirmed. I explained that last year we had a couple of mix-ups and I just wanted to make sure everything was correct and he basically told me that unless I messed up while making my reservations, everything was fine. Okay then. I plan on calling before my trip to speak with ANOTHER cast member, who will hopefully not give me the hassle and just read off my reservations, dates, and times.

The two problems I had last year were that one reservation was under the wrong last name. The cast member had put my last name beginning with S not F. They sound similar, but I did start to freak when she couldn't find my ADR as I was confirming them on the phone. No biggie, she fixed it. My other issue was when I got to 50s Prime Time, I was told that my reservation was for 6 and not 6:30. Mind you, I had just confirmed my ADRs before I left and I am an obsessive planning so you can bet I put what I had wanted on my itinerary. So I don't know what happened there exactly. Luckily since I had a confirmation number, they were able to slip us in, but otherwise I guess we would have been out of luck.

Ditto! I can't imagine not checking my ADRs. There was a mix up with mine a few weeks ago and also in May '05.

I saw people last Sept trying to tell the CM at Le Cellier that they had ADRs, but they were turned away. Of course Le Cellier was turning away all walkups that night and people were trying anything to get in, so who knows if they really had ADRs or not. With restaraunts bing so full during the free dining period I wouldn't be surprised if desperate people didn't try to convince CMs that they had ADRs when they really didn't.

After reading this thread a few days ago I was planning on calling to confirm the ADR's and confirmation #s when I got a call from Disney last night. I had read on another thread about Disney calling people within the last week or so to make sure they had all their dining plans set up. So when the nice CM called last night I used that opportunity to check them all and she was very nice and helpful and even tried to get us in one car at Sci-Fi (with no luck though, oh well it'll still be great). Just some more of Disney's magic :wizard:

I have never confirmed ours, and fortunately have never had a problem. I always carry my confirmation numbers with me though, just in case.
