Some people can express an opinion without being offensive. It is a useful skill to have. 
Here, mama and daddy are not baby talk words. They are words almost all of us use for our parents. Nothing odd about it. Mommy would be unusual here (don't think I know anyone who uses it), but I don't see a problem with people who do. Mother and Father would be unusual, and I rarely hear anyone use mom and dad.
Of course, I also have a Big Mama (my 90 year old grandmother)

It's just a term of endearment, not that they see me as a baby of course.
