Do you bring a full change of clothes for each kid inside the parks? In what?

I'm trying to determine what kind of bag I need to take with me to WDW. Do you usually carry a full change of clothes for each kid, including socks and shoes? That plus snacks, sippies, diapers, sunscreen, first aid stuffs, and other small necessities makes it sound like I need a suitcase!!! We will have a stroller so I guess I can pack two bags - one to keep under the stroller and a purse or backpack to carry with me.

How do you handle this?

I bring them for my kids but something lightweight. My 5 year old wanted to change right after splash mountain as he thinks if his clothes get a tiny bit wet, he needs to change.

Hi there. My wife used to bring a full set when they were younger(around 3,4,5) but as they got older she would just bring tops. Seemed like between lunch, snacks and drinks that was the only things that got dirty. Hope that helps.

No I don't.

I don't think when they were in diapers I did either.

My kids, more so my ds, loves to get wet. So why bother changing him into dry clothes when he is only going to find more water.

Plus we go in summer so I am not concerned with them catching a cold from when FL is not warm (winter/late fall/early to mid spring).

We also take mid day breaks so they do change out of their sweaty wet clothes to return to the park later that evening.

They are not allowed to wear sneakers or socks, I know mean mom!!! They have worn keens or flip flops which is what they wear during the summer months anyways so it doesn't bother their feet.

When my kids were in diapers I probably brought about 10 diapers. I kept my wipes in a big zip lock bag & added to it as it got low.

I don't think I brought sun screen, if I did, just a small bottle. I applied it as they were getting dressed. They wore hats too.

Other then an epi pen and Benadryl, I didn't carry any first aid stuff.

I don't take extra clothes for anyone too old to have a diaper blowout. I will give ponchos on water rides for people who want them, and they can choose to skip water play areas if they don't like to have wet clothes.

I agree. If potty training was in question, I'd throw a pair of undies and gym shorts in a big Ziploc bag just in case. Otherwise, didn't worry about it. We're strictly a keen shoes family, too so no worry about wet, mushy shoes and socks.

Yeah, being a first time mom I definitely plan on bringing an extra set of clothes for DD into the parks. Just part of our park planning.

My kids were 4 - 11, and I brought a pair of shirts that fit the 3 youngest, and a shirt that would fit the oldest. I never brought full changes ever!

I will bring an extra pair of pants and underwear (I actually always carry underwear in my handbag now -- it's kind of weird) FOR MY 5 year old - not for me. :rotfl:

I am not going to bother with shirts, cause I can always find a t-shirt somewhere -- they have souvenir/t-shirt shops in each park right? ;)

BUT when my son was still in diapers, I carried a change of clothes and a bunch of diapers in my diaper bag and had my husband carry a change of clothes and one or two diapers in his backback. This way if I lost my bag or something we still had an emergency set in case of what we would call an "explosive moment" where you just get the entire outfit and throw it in the trash if you know what I mean.

Nope, I figure in the very unlikely event that I need it I will buy it. I have never had to buy anything.

Three nappies (diapers) wipes and nappy bags.
suncream
water bottle x 2
Camera
Phone

Are the only things we carry with us. The nappies go in the bottom of the stroller.

I changed his nappy after this and he dried out pretty fast it was hot.

I took a change of clothes for DS last year at 2.5. Ziplock bag with t-shirt, knit shorts, and underwear - squished the air out so it didn't take up much room. Can't remember if I packed shoes, but it would have been something like flip flops if I did.

Going this year and DS is 3.5 plus taking my niece who is 6. Not sure if I will take extra clothes in, but I will probably have some in the car (staying off-site).

We packed a cooler bag in the stroller basket and everything had to fit in there. I had a small cross-body bag. That was it.

We did a mid-day break so we could restock as needed. This year we will either go until later afternoon or take a break, so I'm not planning to need 12+ hours of supplies. It's a sanity saver with little ones.

When they were in diapers or potty training, yes. After that I figure if they make a mess I could just buy something in the gift shop and congratulate them on their new souvenirs!

I never packed extra clothes once they were out of pull-ups. If something horrible happened and they needed something, I'd just buy it. The cost is worth not having to lug a bunch of extra stuff with me.

I packed a set in a zip top bag when I took my 4 YO DGD. She never needed anything in the little bag, but it was easy to tuck in my bag, so no worries. i did wish I had packed a pair of flippies or sandals, because I let her jump on the water jets, and her sneaks got soaked. No flip or sandals to be found in Epcot that day!

I think I'm going to bring a pair of gym shorts and undies rolled up tight in a ziplock. On the very off chance my five year old has an I-am-too-excited-and-busy-to-pee moment.

Absolutely -- but the "spare" clothes for my two boys are swim trunks with rash guards (shirts) that can also be worn as clothes (on rides, at meals) when dry, and flip flops, unless we go when it is just totally too cold. Every theme park has some water splash spot and they love these. I also have kept a baby towel and take that with us to dry off. The oldest now wears swim stuff on Kali River Rapids, Splash Mountain, etc., too.

And if one of them gets covered in ketchup at lunch and the swim stuff hasn't been used yet, then the swim wear can just become "clothing".

We tried that twice. We'll have one set for the baby this year, but that's it. If the older kids get wet on a water ride, that's just part of it. I was starting to feel too much like a pack-mule, so now we are as low-maintenance as we can get.

I pack one change of clothes for each child and a pair of water shoe type of shoes for each. after a number of blisters from rubbing wet shoes, the kids always change shoes before going water play areas. it can get expensive to replace clothes for 6 kids at a time.

We brought shorts, shirt, undies and socks for each DD (5 and 2.5). I didn't bother with extra shoes. Also brought small pack of wipes and Tide to Go stick for food messes. Only needed an underwear change for one of them once, but felt much better having it with me.

We always took a change of clothes for DS (no shoes though) when we had a stroller with us. Now that we no longer take a stroller, we don't take a change of clothes. We do, however take ponchos. And we wear sport sandals so we don't have to worry about wet shoes and socks. And the ponchos are just as much for water rides as they are for rain, as I am a big baby when I get all wet!:rolleyes1
