I think I read somewhere here about bringing a collapsible laundry bag?

I almost bought one at our local Market Basket grocery store 2 weeks ago and of course they are all gone now!

Then my friend said she got hers at The Christmas Tree Shop and they're all gone too.

I tried Linens and Things and they had a couple of kinds but they were all too big and bulky for packing.

I also already tried Target and Walmart with no luck.

Should I bother? Do you? Where did you get yours?

Thanks!

They are helpful for studio stays shere you may be going to the laundry room. We have used it for 1-BR stays just to keep the place tidy.

We have a three section one that is pretty handy for sorting laundry. We got ours at the local grocery store. I have seen them at Kmart and Walmart.

that is a very special "gift with purchase" at any Disney store. They come in different sizes, and you can request an extra one - free!...which can also work as a "disposable cooler"... Personally, I really enjoy the large size...comes with a two sweatshirt purchase;) ;) LOL

Enjoy!

I just use the empty suitcase. Most of the time we're in a two bedroom, but the one time we were in a studio at OKW, I put the stuff in, rolled it to the pool, washed the clothes, and rolled it back.

I love them. I have three and I use one when we travel and use all of them at home. I use them to sort colors, etc. at home and when all laundry is done, they fold up and fit between the sink and the wall in the laundry room, not taking up any space as traditional laundry baskes do.

For travel, they are wonderful for keeping the room neat and having a place to put all the stinky stuff.

I got mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Ask at your Linens and Things, they usually have the large bulky ones as well as the ones we are discussing here.

They fold flat and take up very little space. I usually put mine in the outside pocket of a roll-a-board suitcase.

I bring mine every trip. I hate laundry piled up in the room. I have the kind that folds completely flat and I place it in the outside zippered pocket of my suitcase. I purchased my first one from Wal-mart, the next ones came in a two pack at BJ's for $9.99. I think they are worth the expense and since they really don't take up space in the suitcase, why not bring it?

QVC usually has them.

And LOL about the "gift with purchase at any Disney Store". At first I'm thinking huh? Must be new, wasn't there last time I worked. And now I know what you're talking about!

Disney is pretty generous with those "free gift with purchase" bags even if you don't make a purchase right there and then. We picked up several that supplimented our carryon baggage.

Our room (a 2br) did have one small laundry basket in the room.

I know the OKW rooms have a laundry basket in the one, two and three bedroom units. We usually bring along our laundry basket from home to carry stuff in, plus I use it for dirty laundry.

MBB I thought I was the only one to get that special laundry basket! I couldn't get them to use it if it took up the whole room which is why we have a golden retriever to drag the underware out in front of guests!
The disposable laundry hamper looked like a great idea until I came bacl to my reality!

Well, I found one tonight at a Bed Bath outlet store!

I opened it up to check it out and now I can fold it down the way they had it! It was folded so small and then tucked into this pouch that you can use for detergent.

I can't believe I can't get it folded back!

Just bought one this week in Shaw's grocery store in Southern NH. :) I have a couple for my DD who rotates taking them back and forth to her dorm on weekends with clean/dirty laundry lol.

We take ours. It is very helpful. I don't remember where we got it buy try QVC. We buy a lot of stuff from them.

You can find them at Bed Bath and Beyond. I saw a set of two, (1) white and (1) black for under $20 just yesterday.

We use a laundry basket liner that we purchased from Pier 1. Very easy to pack, and to use.

I saw some at KMart last night, I've also seen them at Target. :D

All the 1-3 bedroom units at OKW have laundry baskets. There is also a nice shelf in the laundry room, and we sort clothes on that too. I have been known to use the top of the washer and dryer for that purpose as well, but that porbably wouldn't work with the stackable units at the other DVC resorts.

Anyone else have trouble folding up the collapsible bag after opening it!?!? Or is it just me!

I wish now that I didn't open it till we were on vacation!!

Mine was pretty small folded up. Dark blue with handles and a pouch for the detergent. It was folded and tucked into the detergent pouch.

After I opened it up, there was no way I could get it back the way it was!!!!

Not sure what kind you have, mine is blue with handles and apouch, made of mesh, but only flattens down, it still measures about 12-18 inches by 18-24 inches, but very flat when opens, kind of reminds me of one of those kids toys that show up flat then pops open and you can never get it back together, but I have managed the laundry thing!!! It's the last thing that goies into the suitcase, we have big ones (the large Kirkland type from Costco).
