Do you bookmark every thread you post?

OK,

So my SIL got me addicted to this DIS board and I can't go a day without looking at it. My problem is though that I post a response and then forget to go back and look after a while.

Do you guys subscribe to everything you post to or do you the same thing I do?? How do you keep up??

I subscribe to ones I want to check back on or recall months down the line (like CM best tips), but if it's just daily posting I backtrack using my own profile. To do that you click on your own user name, then statistics, then the all threads version if you want to see a post you replied in (but didn't start) OR the all posts which is only posts you've started.

Nope, I'm a stealth poster. I usually don't bother going back, unless I posted a question I want an answer to. Or if it's a really busy thread and is still on the first page, I may read more responses.

I post way too much that my inbox would be overflowing. My first few posts were set up to recieve an email for each reply. Well I posted in a never ending topic someplace called "what candy do you buy in epcot?". It died off for a little while and it seems that it's been revived once again. I'm talking about a 5yr old topic too. I still get the emails for that topic.

But now, I just find a topic I posted in, click on my user name and select "find all posts by user". I usually back track a couple days worth of posts, and it'll tell you if there's any new posts made after yours that you haven't read yet.
I do it constantly throughout my time on the Dis to keep up with topics instead of searching for it in the topics list.

I disabled all of the email messages and just come right to disboards to check my subscribed threads. Once I post to a thread, I'm automatically subscribed. To check those threads, just click on "User CP" which on the far left side of the thin red bar across the top of board. The link is underneath where it says, "Reply to Thread." After you click on that, scroll down to bottom on the left side box where it says, "List Subscriptions." It's the 3rd box from the bottom. Click on that and all of the threads you've ever posted on will come up (unless you unsubscribed to a thread, that is).

I just checked my subscribed threads and there's 41 pages! It makes it easy to find an old thread because they are shown in order of most recent to oldest threads.

I basically follow about eight forums. And since I do post a lot I when I scan thread titles I make it a point to see what has happend where I have posted, so I look for the indicator on the index page. If I subscribed or had e-mails my in box would become impossible.

I don't do either, I pretty much just read and post unless its a question I had and then I may go back and look a page or so back, but the boards don't move as fast as they use to and I can keep up without bookmarking.

I have subscribed to a few threads, but I didn't realize you could subscribe to every one that you posted to. That would seem like a lot of emails coming through the inbox though. I was just curious if others checked backed when they remembered to or not. I was looking at a thread I posted to the other day when I realized someone had quoted me and I thought, "Oops! I forgot all about this thread!" Then I find myself constantly clicking back through threads just to see what people write. I used to think my SIL was cuckoo about this DIS forum but now that I am addicted to it I don't find her so silly anymore!

The emails are not that bad (well, for me anyway). You just get one email when the one you are subscribed to (which is automatic when you reply to a post), not an email for each time someone posts on it. Hope that makes sense.

I do this. No emails. When I come to the DIS, I check my Subscribed threads for activity first, then I go to my fave forums to look for new stuff.
