I am going Dec 8-15. I have only bought my airline tickets thus far. I am really behind. I only found out recently I was going for sure. I am looking of course like everyone else for some kind of deal on a room. Hoping for All Star Movies. But do I book it now and apply the code later. If so do you have to pay for it now? Or is it like other hotels where you just book the resie. Forgive me I have only stayed off site in timeshare.

Becasue of teh time you are going, I would book it now, aND look for and have code rates applied when and if they become available. ALso- You will need to pay 1 night deposit for the room, but that is all.

I'll be there the same time as you (Dec 8th-16th). When American Airlines finally went down on their fares the other day, I bit and went ahead and booked both my airfare and room. I booked room only, paid a one night deposit, and will be hoping for an AP discount to come out around the end of August, at which time I'll pay it off. I booked at POP though.

I would go ahead and book at least a room only. At least you know you would be able to get a room in your preferred resort. You can always cancel it with no penalty and it doesn't have to be paid until your arrival. All it will cost you now is a one night deposit (around $90.00 with tax). You can always apply a code when they come out. Unless I'm getting the DDP, this is what I always do.

Every year I have booked my room only and applied the code when it came out. I would call now and book. If/when a code comes out, call right away to grab that code. Just because you have a room does not guarantee the code. There is a limited number of codes to be used at each resort. If you wait too long to call for that code they could be all used up. You will still have a room but might not be able to get a discount. Stay on top of things. :thumbsup2

Like you I got the airfare first just a few days ago(Wed) when I looked at an unheard of round trip from Indy to MCO for 3 days and it was still there I couldn't stop myself...so now I'm putting together the other pieces. I have AAA so after I booked the flights I got on the AAA site and looked to see what kind of rates I could get from them at this point. I wanted POP (we are going from 12/8 thru 12/12) when I looked the first time it was 62.something per night well like a dummy I didn't jump on that and last night when I decided to do it that was gone...snooze ya lose...I was however able to get All Star Music(Movies was not avail.) at the 62 something rate (74 something w/tax). Now when and if codes come out I will try to book POP but if not I'm covered with ASMu. So if you are a AAA member or something check with them and book if not by all means book now....See ya'll in Dec!!:cool1:
