Do you attend religious services while on vacation?

If you regularly attend religious services, do you find a local house or worship while on vacation?

My pastor is on television so I watch him when I'm away!

We went to Mass when we stayed at the Poly once, other than that, no.

If we're in another country we do sometimes only because it's interesting to watch how the service is done. Other than that we don't go.

Sadly, I have in the past but have since stopped because people think I'm crazy for going when I'm on vacation. My Mom always told me God doesn't take a vacation.....

No, we usually do not. I went to an American Thanksgiving Service in London once so I could feel Thanksgiving-ish. Also have gone to Easter Services the few times we've travelled then.

We go to church every Sunday at home, but as far as vacations are concerned it depends on where we are. If I'm at WDW, then no. If DH and I are someplace besides there, we sometimes go because we like to see other churches. But definitely never out of guilt or a sense of obligation. God is everywhere.

DH's family (his dad is a preacher) used to pull over and have "car church" if they were traveling during church times . But each family is responsible for itself. And my DH ended up a good man . I'm just positive that "car church" sealed that deal .

When Mass was held at the Polynesian, we went every year. Now at WDW, we don't go. If we are somewhere else, we try to locate a Catholic Church.

No - we take the summer off pretty much.

One past Sunday we just happened to be driving past church and my 11 year old said - Look Mom, Church is starting back up again!

TOO FUNNY!!! We sort of somehow stay home from church alot in the summer too. I teach Sunday School every school year and that keeps us regular. DD's,8 and 10, recently asked why we didn't go to church anymore...guilt,guilt,guilt. I told them that God was everywhere we were and they were quite welcome to worship at any time. They immediately went into action and planned a mini service for the family complete with hymns, special music, a Bible reading and a sermon!

We've been to Catholic services on Cape Cod, Mackinac Island, in northern Wisconsin, central Michigan and at WDW. I look up churches on the internet before we leave. In my DH's family, they believe that if you enter a church you've never been in before, you get to make a wish. That makes it easier for us to get the kids to go. I enjoy visiting different churches and checking out the architecture -- every one is a new experience.

Yes, we always try our very hardest never to miss Church no matter where we are going.

We look up the closest Church to where we are going before we leave.

We schedule Disney around it and the only time we don't go is if our flight is during the morning masses.

We prefer going Saturday night rather than Sunday morning if we can.

Not on Disney vacations but DH always finds a church a goess on hunting or mountain biking trips.
We have gone to church in Dollywood on Sunday am while visiting the park. I love their little country church and it's service on Sundays. When DH works Dollywood on Sundays he always attends church. Workers can go into work early and do any early service just for Dollywood employees.

I've gone to church when I camp, since a lot of the campgrounds would have a multi denominational service. Around here, church is becoming more vague, because one church rents out a movie theater and simulcasts their services. Another church has their service in the parking lot and all of the parishioners stay in their cars.
