I doubt from every table. They aren't all by windows. That being said, the one time we dined at Sanaa, we had a table by a window and saw animals. Not every chair at our table was facing the window, though.

No. There are a small number of tables along the windows and some that are far from windows. If you want to sit by window I suggest to book the first seating and arrive early to ask.

There are usually animals out there and you can also observe them from just outside the restaurant in an overlook.

Can you request a window seat for lunch and agree to wait longer for it? Or do you have to take the first seat they offer you?

You can request a window seat when you check in but they won't promise it to you. I've always been able to get one for lunch but we did wait. Even on a Sat with a ressie for window, fortunately, we've only ever waiting an extra 10 min or so. I also always check in about 10 min early. Food is a amazing here.

I don't know how, but I've eaten here 3 times and each time gotten a table by the window - and never asked for it. I consider it my special pixie dust. I love it there! The last time, the table next to us had a giant bird come visit them. Unfortunately the woman at the table was afraid of birds, so it was pretty entertaining (it's like the bird just knew).

If you don't get a table by the window, you can go by the windows during your meal to see the animals. I don't mind when people come by our table, as long as they respect our space. We've never had a negative encounter with other guests sneaking by our table, just be respectful.

1) There are eight window tables and six more non-window tables with good views.
2) The rest of the eatery tables have minimal or no view of the animals.

We've eaten there for lunch & dinner and got a window seat each time. For lunch, it was not busy. For dinner we booked first seating (5pm) & arrived right at opening. We had no problem getting a window seat.

1) Like any eateries that have "tables with a view", you must take what is offered.
2) Some SEATERs (podium people) may let you wait, but do not count upon it.
3) This could really stack up people at the counter.
4) Besides, there are union rules for distributing guests at tables.
5) This could limit the amount of guests (and tips) a SERVER away from the window gets during the shift.
6) So, to evenly distribute guests among SERVERS< most of the time you cannot wait for a specific table. *

* If you were the SERVER, you would want as many guests at your tables as possible. It would be unfair for another SERVER to get more chances at tips than you. Please remember, it is your vacation, but it their job and their income.

One item to note, even with a table by the window, you can have a meal with no animal come by. They wander where they want to wander

We had a perfect table next to a window...and the monsoon outside made it impossible to see squat lol.

Even with a view there is no guarantee. Unlike the typical cast member the animals have an option to disappoint.

You cannot see from every table, but I will say the animal viewing area outside is amazing!

There is a nice viewing area right outside the door. If we ever get back over there, I'm opting to sit in the awesome little bar area and just walk outside to look at the animals outside. Also people sometimes think it's ok to let their kids (or come with their kids) and cram between the tables (like, their butts right up against your backs) to get at the windows. So rude.
