Do you always eat at the same places each trip?

We have eaten just about every place there is. However, we keep going back to the same places because we like them so much better. Our fav places are Big Thunder Ranch BBQ and Blue Bayou Carnation Cafe and the Mexican places. In DCA we like Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta.

We have not eaten at Lucky Fortune in DCA. Not sure if we ever will. Also have not had Bengal BBQ but may try it next trip.

We do a bit of both. We have our favorites that we make sure to hit every trip: Plaza Inn for fried chicken, Hungry Bear for lunch, Lucky Fortune in DCA for lunch...

Then the rest of our meals we either try something completely new or go somewhere we know we like from previous visits. We've always enjoyed the food at Rancho del Zocalo and River Belle Terrace though we don't make it to those places every trip.

Like many of the PP, we usually do a mix of going back to what we know/like and trying something new.

I don't how many times I've walked past Village Haus over multiple trips and only just ate there for the first time last trip. The ambiance in there was charming, though I'm sure it helped that it wasn't crowded; otherwise I could see how it could feel overwhelming.

Then, on the flip side we somehow always end up at Pizza Port. Not because the food is super great and we're craving it, but usually it's because we're already over there when we're hungry and it's easier to do counter service with multiple people.

The only place we really feel like we "have" to do is usually Earl of Sandwich, everything else is pretty much "what is close to us when we get hungry". :rotfl:

Normally we do eat at same places but this trip i'm trying a few different.
House of blues (we have gift card for)
Rain forest cafe (always love it and again Gift cards pulse members 25 a year so we will have nice big meal there)

Places not eaten at but trying this time.
Cafe Orleans
Flos

Places I like and we might go to for quick meals
Village Hus, and Golden horseshoe.

We also plan on getting turkey leg or corn dog for some the small snacks. Never had them at DL yet.
Also like Bangle BBq too.

We always eat at Carnation Cafe and Napa Rose. The latter can be pricey but is worth the splurge.

Cafe Orleans, Stage Door Cafe, Plaza Inn, Coca-Cola Refreshment Corner, and the Lucky Fortune Cookery in DCA seemed to be the places we always go back to again and again. Usually at each place they have one or two items that we really like. But we try to go to at least one new place each time we go. I think Jolly Holiday will be the new place we try this month for some seasonal treats.
