Do you always check Snopes.com before forwarding e-mails?

I get it even worse. Not only do I love Harry Potter and have pictures of Faeries and Dragons up at my cubicle at work, but I also get together with 4 other professional people (ages 25 - grandparents who'd rather not reveal their age) and play *gasp* Dungeons and Dragons (a fantasy role-playing game which is kind of like interactive story telling) and I have one co-worker and one relative who constantly send me stuff about how D&D drives people to worship the devil and how I'm an evil, horrible person for liking that stuff.

Oh ya, I know it. DH used to play it but now he just settles for EverQuest and even that drives me nuts most of the time. The man completely ignores me when he is playing and then denies that he is ignoring me. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I tell him that he needs to leave EQ land and return to Earth before I will carry on a conversation with him.

I always check snopes.com before I send anything that I've been forwarded.

I can't stand junk e-mails! They are such a waste of time. If someone does forward me stuff, I always send them back the link from snopes where it explains to them about it's origin.

Me ttoo and I wish my family and friends would...my MIL is the worst offender...she sends me like 350 forwarded messages at a time:

jokes
chain letters that must be forwarded within minutes or really bad things will happen (arrrrghhhh)
political statements
warm and fuzzy pass along the love stories and
'THIS IS TRUE, DON'T DELETE/ lock your kids in a closet/the sky is falling/terrorists are on the way' type stories

I have to sift through the BS because every now and again she will send me family photos...if it weren't for that I would block her completely...

Oh how I've wanted to but didn't know the name of the site...Now I do thank-you!! I don't forward much of anything unless it's actually funny and I think the person would enjoy it!
