Do we really believe Pandora will open in the summer?

I know Rivers of Light is WAAAAAAAAAAY overdue now... How much confidence do people have that Pandora will be ready to go this summer?

I have a cruise booked with a night at AKL beforehand in late-mid-August (the 18th, cruise on the 19th), and made the possible mistake of playing "what if I decided to just do a WDW stay for the whole time" (airfare is booked, so the dates are pretty firm) and discovered that I could actually do a Value Studio at AKL with single-park tickets (at 9 days I would not need to hop) AND the Dining Plan (possibly Deluxe, but I didn't really look at that) for LESS than the cruise is.

BUT... I really want to be able to experience Pandora, so I'm unsure if I should just look at booking a different time for WDW and keeping the cruise. I wouldn't be happy to change everything and then they keep pushing back the opening.

I wouldn't change any of your plans to try to see Pandora.

I will be at WDW for Labor Day weekend. I am not planning on seeing Pandora. If it's open, then I'll just be happy that it takes away guests from the other AK attractions!
All of this, yes! We'll be there in mid-September, and I'm not counting on it (hoping it's not) being open. If it's open I won't change my AK plans, and if it's not, then I'm hoping it's still not crowded.

Thanks. That was kind of my gut feeling. I've got a 4-day weekend later in September I could do, or I could just do the parks at another time later on.

Off topic, but just in case you don't have the value studio booked yet, know that value studio availability can be few and far between unless it's booked at the 11 month mark. They tend to go first. Before you make any plans, try to secure that reservation. And if you can't, it might make your decision easier!

Oh it's available. A standard room with a package is not.

I wouldn't change your plans, but I do believe Pandora will make it's opening date. If anything gets delayed, it will be one of the two rides, but they'll still be able to open the area.

I have 100% confidence it will open in the summer. You have to remember that Summer for Disney runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Thats a long time to get it open. The land it self is quite far along and matches up with the construction history timeline of Carsland.

I think after the mess up they had with River of Lights that Disney will get Pandora open by "summer". It may be at the very end of "summer" but I do think it will happen as they don't want another PR mess.

I believe it like I believe Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are real. I really want to believe it, and try to ignore that little voice called 'Reason' in the back of my head.

For the coming months put aside extra money to change airfare and book a few days after your cruise to prepare for when you change your mind

Or go ahead and book for the long weekend a month later when I've got a 4-day weekend from school (teaching) thanks to Rosh Hashanah. :)

I'll be seeing you there! ;) (we seem to be chasing each other around the board today.)

I'm about 95% sure I'm going to book. Just crunching a few more numbers. :) (teehee!)

Test Track. Nothing more needs to be said.
Um you can't call this test track yet. Also Disney gave a season not an opening date so they have a large range of dates to get it open by. I see no reason to believe the land won't be open in that time frame. The rides are already in early testing.

WAIT a minute here! You mean to tell me that there is no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny?! Next, you will be telling me there is no Great Pumpkin or Tooth Fairy!
