Do we need to start booking 2021 park days now

April shack I don’t think it’s necessarily a fair chance to others. More likely they are worried that if you give somebody a 21 day consecutive days ticket then do not let them in could be considered breach of contract. I’m sure there is a clause about park capacity but that is a bit different to reservation system.

As for other countries do they have tickets like our 14 and 21 day? I thought they were pretty unique to UK and Ireland? Of course whilst in EU rest of the EU had access, much to the annoyance of Disney. They do everything they can to be able to make offers in 1 country and only that country. Especially true of DLP.

it's unique to the UK and Ireland.
the rest of the world used to be able to buy it up until 2 years ago, when they limited it to the UK/Ireland only.
If you buy a package holiday, then the EU can also buy the tickets as part of the package.
But the EU can't buy the ticket on its own.
So it's not really unique to the UK/Ireland, since many people buy the package holidays.

For example, we purchased a holiday which included the 21 day ticket.
In fact, when we purchased the holiday, Disney actually permitted not just the EU to buy it, but the rest of the world as well.
We're in Israel, and i bought the holiday direct from Disney on the phone.
This was back in 2017. As of 2018, they stopped selling it to the rest of the world, but continued to sell packages to the EU.

Bottom line, if you're only buying tickets, then it's limited to UK/Ireland.
If you're buying a holiday package, then the UK/Ireland ultimate tickets are included. UK/Ireland and EU can buy the holiday packages.

I read on a UK website that the 21 day ticket is gone for 2021.
And he had heard that the 7/14 day tickets would also be gone during the 50th celebration (end of september through the end of the year).
But i don't know if that last part is true. He said it was. A UK fan website.

by the way, in case you're wondering how i buy UK tickets, it's because my company is located in the UK. So i'm able to buy the tickets, when they're available that is.
.

They really do need to address what's going on. In sure I'm not the only one wondering if my ticket will be valid or are they going to change and modify it in some way. Not happy? Then cancel. We don't want you here anyway! A holiday isn't meant to be stressful. They will be aware that people know something is going on.

If its going to be this much of a hassle I may have to just do a few days at Universal then drive down and use my points at Vero Beach for the rest of my stay for Feb 2021 although.

I received an email about my booking in Sep 2021 that suggested I'd be able to/required to start making park reservations on Monday. The wording wasn't exactly clear though.

There seems to be no clear answer to this! I just had a chat with a DVC team member and she said that on Monday you can only reserve park days up until 26th September 2020, and there is currently no information as to when you can book dates after that!

Yeah it's really weird. Seems to be different info everywhere, but from that chat, it looks as if its going to be more of a rolling reservation sort of thing, with a few months open at a time.

Is that live chat just for DVC bookings or is there another live chat for resort & ticket bookings?

That was the DVC live chat, I think the standard website does have a live chat, but it only seems to appear when agents are available or something because it seems a bit random.

Despite the pictures of the live chat I posted earlier telling me that Monday was only for park reservations between opening and September 2020, I have now received an email telling me I can in fact make park reservations on Monday. So basically, I have no idea who's wrong, this new email or the cast member...

Flip a coin and I bet it falls on the edge!

I think I would rather go with the date listed in emails and on their site than what a cm has said personally. Then again, you'll soon find out in about 20 hours 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are booked for next April and my family is all pretty worried about this. Hotel is showing up on MDE but no tickets and tui are really messing us about.
I just want to know what to expect. If we are late to the party and cant get into any parks I will feel so bad, because my dad is the one who books the hol but I'm the one who organises the itinerary, fp and adrs. I dont want to drop the ball on this.

Your problem is probably booking through Tui. They are well known for delaying adding tickets to bookings. People often complained about this around their 60 day mark for FP’s. I’ve a feeling it is connection to payment of final balance.

park reservations start tomorrow i think, including for next year.
So you need to find out about the tickets so that you can reserve...
you have to have a ticket linked to your MDE to make the park reservations.

the disney website reads as follows:

Booking Dates for Park Reservations

The Disney Park Pass system will be available soon to select Guests. Booking dates vary based on your plans.

  • Beginning June 22, 2020, Disney Resort and other select hotel Guests with valid theme park admission can make reservations.
  • Beginning June 26, 2020, Annual Passholders without a Resort stay can make reservations.
  • Beginning June 28, 2020, existing ticket holders can make reservations.

Park reservations will be available through September 26, 2021, based on your Resort stay and ticket eligibility or ticket eligibility window.

If you booked a vacation package, your ticket eligibility is tied to your package travel dates. To make a park reservation for a different date, be sure to modify your vacation package dates.

If you have a room-only reservation at a Disney Resort or other select hotel for a stay in 2021, please call the Disney Reservation Center or call your travel professional beginning on June 24 to upgrade to a vacation package with tickets—and then make your theme park reservations.

So does whomever you book with add the park tix? Not Disney? Thought they might appear the same time as the hotel reservation would appear in your MDE? Do you need the pay upfront for the park tix to appear whomever the travel agent is you book with?

Thanks for the heads up. They were just so much cheaper! 😭 I keep thinking, Wilderness lodge will be worth it in the end...
