We were able to get two rooms that connect to each other to give us a bit more space with our family of five. I have our accounts connected, but do I need to do a special request to be at the same dinner table? Not sure how that works with DCL.

If your reservations are linked in your DCL account, you should automatically be at the same table for dinner :goodvibes

If your reservations are linked then you shouldn't have to make an extra request. The easiest way to know if you are linked is if your can do their paperwork or book excursions on their behalf.

If your reservations are linked you should be together, if unsure go check when you get aboard to make sure.

We had our reservation linked with three other groups on one of our cruises so that we would all be at the same table (we were). It also made it easier to coordinate some of our tours together. I didn't have to contact them to find out what they were planning and it was easier to get Palo dining for all of us together. Nothing other than the original reservation connection was required.

So i'm not trying to hijack the thread but I also have a question regarding seating so I figured I would ask here instead of making a new one. If you AREN'T eating dinner together is there any reason you would need your reservations linked. Several in our party are on first dining and us as well as several others are on late dining. I didn't know if it would be needed to link with the first group in early dining or not.

If you want to do other things together, excursions, Meet and Greets, etc., linking the reservations allows you (or them) to make reservations for all of you, so that it is easier to make sure you all get the same trip or the same time. Of course, you can still change appointments they make for you, and none of it is paid for until later.

But on the other hand, you can easily do the same thing by just communicating which things you are signing up for and at what times so that they can pick the same ones on their reservation.

One other consideration, my mother went with us and she is 70 and not that computer savvy, so linking our reservations allowed us to sign her up for things without her having to worry about it. Then she just paid her room bill when it came, with the things we had signed her up for. In this way, even if she wanted to do a spa treatment or something we weren't doing, we could still sign her up for it, so she didn't have to mess with the online reservation system.

Ok thank you that was very helpful!
