Do we need to cancel Magical Express?

Our trip is next weekend & our plans are still up in the air as far as how we are going to get from the airport to our resort. We may be able to ride with some friends. Just in case that doesn't work out, we went ahead and made our reservations for Magical Express.

If we wind up not needing to use ME on arrival do we need to cancel ahead of time or is it enough that we just don't ever check-in at the ME desk when landing? (We only have carry-on luggage so we wouldn't be using the yellow tags anyway so luggage is not an issue.) It's a daytime flight so we wouldn't be inconveniencing anyone by having the desk stay open waiting for us.

Also, we will definitely be using the return trip - if we don't show up for the arrival trip will our return trip be cancelled too?

I had the exact same situation a few years ago. I did call them to cancel the arrival ride though. You don't have to but I just felt better not having to worry about the return ride to MCO.
You don't have to call them and let them know though. I was just being ultra-safe...tend to be a bit of a worry wart.

Anytime I set up a trip I also set up ME [I'm DVC - so it's really easy for me]. Then, if rental cars come down enough, I book that instead and I always call and cancel my ME. They are very appreciative of it, but like goofy4tink said, you don't have to. For me, it's the right thing to do.

It is a good idea to cancel reservations you won't use but if there is even a slight chance you will need Magical Express, then leave your reservation intact.
