Thanks! We had it taken with the Santa at DTD today. Griffin was a big hit with the crowd. They are letting people bring their dogs for pictures for a few days.

We were in WDW in Jan of 02 - and it was really a mixed bag. Over the 8 days we were there - it was 60 for 2 days - mid 70s for a few days and it hit 80 for 2 days. Mornings were rather cold - so we had to layer - sweats or jeans, tee shirts, sweat shirt and light jacket and as it warmed up removed the layers.

Nights got really cold. I did have to wear my winter jacket every night (it was often in the 30s and 40's) and DH had to buy gloves because it was that cold.

We quickly learned to wear things that were light to throw in a bag or easy to tie around our waist. We would stop back at our hotel or our car and grab the coats when it got really cold.

I am even wondering about winter boots, in case we have car trouble going thru the cold states.

Since you are driving from Canada, I would bring the winter stuff - you have the potential to hit snow/ice all the way down and heaven forbid anything would happen, you just might need it - if only to stay warm. Better safe than sorry, bring the jackets, gloves, hats, boots and snow pants for the kids.

I wanted to put a plug in here for stretchy "Magic Gloves". They are perfect for 30-50 degree weather. They are cheap (less than $2.00 each) and lighweight. Mine stay in my jacket pocket the whole trip. Most retailers: Walgreens, Target, Wal*Mart, etc sell them here in Wisconsin and I recall seeing them in Florida too.
