Do we know if the gold is coming off the castle?

In March I was told by a reliable CM that the only thing coming down is the Cameo which shows the different castles. The rest is staying. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I hope this is true! Although I don't care for the cameo, I LOVE the gold trimmings! I know there are many castle "purists", but I think the gold makes the castle look even more regal.

I hope all the gold decorations go away and take Cinderellabration with them. The classic castle is just beautiful and doesn't need embelishment. I especially hate the stage in front of the castle. I miss being able to walk through the archways and seeing the mosaics inside.

Count me among the few that like the castle better without all the decorations. To me the castle with all the decorations is like a woman with too much makeup or jewelery. It takes the eye away from the true beauty of the castle itself.

My ex and I went in sept and he kept asking what they were doing to the castle.... I thought he meant the little sparkles that go along the gold at night but then I realized what he meant and I couldn't agree more....

That gold looks like .. I'm trying to think of the word for it.. scaffoulding? Like when they put a metal skelaton around a building when it's under construction... Those gold swirles really do look like construction pieces.

I hope and pray the castle goes back to its original beauty and I agree about the Cinderellabration stage.. it just ruins it. I missed walking through the castle.. and to upset Disney's landmark for a short show? I hope it goes back to how it was when i was a kid

I love the gold on the Castle but hate, hate, hate that mirror. So, if they leave the gold but take the mirror away, I'll be a very happy girl!!

Ditto. If they take that ugly thing off I will probably schedule a ADR at Chrystal Palace for an early breakfast just so I can get into the park early to take a nice picture.

*blinks* it never even occurred to me the castle could be under construction while we are there!! We are going the last week in September....24th through the 30th...wonder what the chances are that they will actually be swapping things out??

Because someone said it would be in November..Noooo,I'm going early December and I have to see the castle!!
