Do we have time to go to DTD and GF from OKW?

We have our first visit to OKW coming up soon (1 bedroom villa). We are checking in on Monday after staying at AKL.

We want to go visit DTD and go to Disney Quest that afternoon. I also want to go to dinner at the GF for the Cinderella Dinner.

Is this reasonable? Is the GF close enough to get to in 30 minutes or less from OKW? Has anyone gone to Disney Quest before? Would 3 hours be long enough?

Will you have a car or using Disney transportation? With Disney Transportation, I would allow an hour to GF. You can take the bus to MK and then catch the monorail around. If MK is closed, you would have to go via Downtown Disney or an open park.

How old are your kids? Or is it just for yourself to see everything. there are quite a few things to do in there depending on the age and interest of your group.

Three hours is more then enough for you to sample a lot of it. If you like it do you have time in your schedule to return?

On a good day if using Disney transportation I'd leave an hour to travel.

Yes, with a car 30 minutes is enough to drive from OKW to GF. DebbieB covered the alternative well.

Regarding Disney Quest, how much time to spend there depends on many variables - how crowded it is, how much you actually want to do, the age range of your group. If it isn't too crowded and you are adults, 3 hours is likely more than enough. However, if you have kids who want to do everything, and/or if there are lines for everything, you could possibly need a whole day.

You can get a bus directly to the GF from DD (PI stop)- so you won't have to go back to OKW after DQ.

It does sound to me like you're trying to do a lot in one afternoon however. If DQ is busy, you may not get to try too many things in a 3 hour period. It takes awhile to get yourself oriented since the place is so large.

I'm sure you'll enjoy any time you have to spend there.

We will have a car. Our DD's will be turning 10 that week. We plan to go on early Monday afternoon in September (so it should be an 'off season' time).

Sounds like we can do this, and I will make late dinner reservations at GF to give us as much time as possible.

GF is a short drive from OKW. Take a left out of OKW, then a right at the light, this will take you past PO and Dixie Landings on your right(I forgot the new names of these places),proceed to next light and take a left, this will bring you to a guard post, he will just wave you through with the ticket on your dash board, then continue to the intersection, take a right and follow signs to GF. It is a ten minute ride. Of course I would valet park at GF otherwise it is quite a walk from their parking lot. Docs idea of catching a bus from DD directly to GF is another idea, but you will find that a car at OKW will really get you around quickly. If you want to drive from DQ then just go out of parking lot at DQ taking a right and then take first right then use the above directions to get there.

Thanks for the directions! We want to go to DQ in the afternoon, but I would want to come back to OKW and change and freshen up before going to dinner at GF, so we would be driving to GF from OKW. Doesn't sound like a bad drive, and it sound like it is all do-able (DTD and DQ in the afternoon and dinner at GF from OKW). Thanks!
