We are going to disney for six nights and seven days. Normally we dont do a park on the first or last day...howevor this time we got an extra hopper pass. (Shorter stay than normal and its christmas time...we want to experience ALL the magic!) We dont have ADRs for the first or last night so were not obligated to be anywhere. What do all normally do, a park on the first day (we will be arriving mid afternoon) or last day (we are leaving later in the evening)? :thumbsup2

We'll be doing a "best of" tour of the parks on our last day. We're going to decide what our most favorite attractions were, or things we didn't get as much time to see as we'd like. Hopefully, we'll be able to stay until around 5 before packing it in and heading back.
On our first day, we don't get to Orlando until about 7pm, so there's not much point of trying to do anything then. We're driving from Birmingham, AL, fyi.

Are you doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party one of those days? If so, you can skip using your tickets that day and rest at the hotel that afternoon... then just go to the park for the 5pm to midnight show using your Christmas Party tickets - and use the hopper the first evening at a late night park like Epcot... and use your extra day pass for a best of early the last day maybe?

I just learned about how the Christmas Party takes about half the day, and late too... so we reworked our plans to include it based on everyone raving about it...

We check-in and hit the parks running . We normally get to WDW around 10:00am.

When leaving that day we will hit an EMH park as we are already packed come back drop our bags with Bellservices and hit DTD for a bit.

You could also use that first day to resort hop and check out the decorations as I think they are better as it gets darker out.

....all depends on travel schedule. our flight normally gets in late afternoon, so we do MK and then on to Ohanas, then back to MK for the fireworks. The last day we have to leave for the airport by 7am, so no parks for us!! We travel in June/July, so we can stay that first night 'til we close 'er down!! :thumbsup2 Back at ASMo on June 15th!!! :cheer2:

We normally visits parks both days. Usually when we arrive we go to Epcot its not just for the park, we like to get a nice sit down dinner our first night in and World Showcase seems to be the best place to do it. Our last day we also leave in the evening (Flying back to Chicago) and we like to park hop and get those must have second (or third and fourth) rides in on our favorites.

DW had reservations to Mickeys Backyard BBQ our first night. It was nice to have an activity to get the week started. We then hit MK the next morning.

We always go to a park on our first day. If our flight is in the evening, then we go to a park on our last day too.

Thanks for the input! Were actually arriving on the day after MVMCP ends! We were bummed when we found that out...Im leaning towards doing Epcot the first day (were staying at YC) I think it will be easy and get us pumped for our commando touring style that will start the next morning! Thanks again.
