do value resorts come with a frig?

or is that only moderates and deluxes? Thanks.
You can rent a refrigerator at the values for the length of your stay. It costs $10/night + tax. There had been talk about beverage coolers being installed at some of the values by the end of the month. I haven't seen any updates on the resorts board about them.

ETA: Installation appears to be taking place floor by floor at the ASMo with the last beverage cooler being installed by March 16th.

Also of note there are multiple free fridge swaps here on the boards (I think the info is on the Resort board but could be wrong about that).

We purchased a small fridge from Wal-Mart about a year ago and drive it down for each trip - it cost us around $60 and has been worth every penny.

Whats the difference between a beverage cooler that is installed and a small fridge?
A beverage cooler does not get as cold as a refrigerator. It's fine for cooling down a bottle of water or a few cans of soda but don't expect it to keep your milk from spoiling.

We were there mid november and did not have any, though we had read the same posts about the updates and hoped, but no such luck. Again like the others have said there are fridge swaps, but they tend to fill up quick so you might want to hop on that soon if you are wanting one. We thought about renting one as we couldnt get in a swap, but with the free dining and the refillable mugs we didnt need one at all. Keep in mind if you need one for insulin or other meds let a CM know and I believe they will provide these free of charge!

You may or may not get a refrigerator for medical need. They are given out based on availability and some are not very big...think shoebox size.

There was one in the handicap room we stayed in at the end of January at Pop.
Didn't realize it was there until the day before we left:sad2:
(it was built into the TV console).

Most of the fridge swap fridges have a freezer in them so you can freeze water/sports drinks and take them to the parks.

Not sure why Disney decided on cooler boxes, it can't save them that much $ can it?

Honestly, I hated having just a fridge when we were moved to BC. I really missed having the freezer.

Put a full ice bucket in the beverage cooler and it will help a lot. This is what we did on DCL and DH always had ice cold beer. Just get new ice everyday. :thumbsup2
