We have UT tickets and are staying offsite. I have registered with MDE and linked our tickets and ADR's together. Do we have to go to a customer relations counter and get our tickets converted to a Magic Band or can we use our UT tickets? Everything is changing so much and my head is spinning!!!

They have not made MBs available to off site guests yet, so you will just use your tickets.

Not only do they not have to, at the moment, converting them to a MB isn't even an option. The hard plastic cards that you buy from UT (or from Disney) have RFID capability and can be loaded with FP+ same as a MB. When you enter the park, you tap a Mickey "tapstile" and place your finger on the reader, same as MB people do, and when you return to a ride with a FP+, you tap your plastic card on the Mickey orb, same as the MB. (Truth be told, it is actually easier to tap the card. No awkward twisting and contorting your arm/wrist to get the band to line up just so.)

I probably should add that if your tickets are older and are not RFID enabled, you will need to have those converted.
