I know this has been asked and answered before but darned if I can find it.... Do they still take pillowcases at Guest Services for the characters to sign? Or has that now stopped?

Leaving soon.... but STILL waiting for DOCS! :charac2:

Yes they do, just drop it off in a ziploc with the permanent marker on your first day, make sure to include your cabin # and they will get it back to you on your last night.

I really, really need a pillowcase....................I went and did not take my case with me.......Can you please help me when you go?

Can you use a white T-shirt instead of a pillowcase?

FYI...we dropped of our pillocases at the princess signature event...to one of the CM Which was no problem...he actually anounnounced it as they were getting things started...but I just wanted to add that we had a nice photo of disney charators on our pillowcases (an iron-on) we were hopeing to get most of the signatures done including alot of princesses...but the photo on the pillow case only had non princess charators (Like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy Pluto...)..but anyway...when we got the cases back it only had the signatures of the charators that were in the photo..Don't know if they did that just because of who was in the photo..or if that's how most of them turn out.

Another option is to use a frame mat. I brought a 5x7 mat for my 8x10 frame to Guest Services in a zip-lock bag with my room number on it. I picked it up on our last night with no problem. It was beautifully signed by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip 'n Dale and Goofy. My kids' Castaway Cay picture is now framed and in the living room for everyone to see.

Lilo5 that's a wonderful idea!!! I might just have to put a frame mat in the ziplock with our pillowcases. Thanks for sharing!

Hi,
Were on the Dec. 11th Magic and they took our pillow cases to sign that I brought to the character breakfast and had them signed only by the main characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisey, Chip, Dale, Pluto & Goofey). I was a little disapointed because they were princess pillow cases and hoped there would be some princess autographs. They still came out great though and the kids love them. They are still on their pillows from our return Dec. 18th! They just ask you to put them in a ziplock bag with your stateroom on it and they will have it returned to your stateroom by the end of your trip. We included a few different colored permanent ink markers in the bag but they were all signed in black.
They are a great souviner!

I did not get a "warm" reception when I went to guest services to request signatures on a pillowcase for my dd on our 10/16 cruise. The person I spoke to wanted to know where I'd heard about this. Maybe he was tired or having a bad day. But I explained with a smile that I had read about it on this board.

When we got the pillow case back on our last night, there were no signatures :guilty: So I called Guest Services and explained the situation they sent someone down immediately and the pillowcase came back a short while later with signatures :wizard:

Dd loves it! It's a wonderful souvenir.

Jeanne-
We had a similar rather cool response when we requested pillowcase signings in September. However, ours was signed and returned to us. Some CMs must be more accomodating than others. Anyway...my DD5 loves hers and your are right...it is a great souvenier!

What an AWESOME idea!!!!!!!!!!! This is definitely something I'm going to bring with us.

I want a pillowcase for myself, actually. I haven't decided if I'm going to bring the pillowcase to guest services or have the characters sign it myself at meets. I'm going to make an autograph book for DS (acid free to be used in scrapbooks).

Think they would be upset to do 3 t-shirts? I would like one for DS and one for each of his cousins sailing in the room next to us.

I'm planning on asking for a photo mat to be signed. I want to personalize it ahead of time with something like "our honeymoon" or something like that.

On the 12/18 cruise.. Santa definately delivered! He brought our DD a pillowcases with all her favorite Disney friends' signatures. What a hit that was! Thank you Santa (and your DCL helper elves!) :D

I love the picture mat idea too. My DD's, who will be 10 & 12 might be a little old for pillowcases, but I think having the mat signed and framed with a pictures of the girls would be so cool :cool1:

We were on the 11/28/04 Wonder cruise and I took 2 pillowcases to Guest Services when we arrived on board and all they asked me was if I had put my stateroom on the bag. I advised that I had and I had included a black sharpie pen in the bag as well. When we picked up our pillowcases on Wednesday night, I was so excited to see that both of our pillow cases were signed by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Daisy, Chip 'n Dale, and Goofy and all the signatures were in a different color. I put the pillow cases on two pillows in our family room and everyone that visits just loves them.

P.S. You don't have to be a kid to get the pillowcases signed, we are two big kids and the CM at guest services was great!!!

When I asked Guest Services, the CM...must have been a bad day...told me they still signed them, but would only do ONE pillowcase for EACH CHILD in the stateroom. Well, it was me who wanted the pillowcase signed...DS (12) didn't care until he found out they'd only do one. So, being a bit old and suffering from senility at 38, I forgot to take out the second pillowcase and took both along with my new colorful sharpies...boy do they have some nice colors now besides black...in a ziploc bag with DS's name and stateroom number on it to Guest Services. I was told to pick it up on the last night.
So, I did and voila! both pillowcases were signed! So now DS and I are both the proud owners of autographed pillowcases. BTW, they do only have Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, Chip, Dale, and Pluto.
