Do they still hide paint brushes on Tom Sawyer Island?

If they do, where have you found them and what was your prize?

I don't know if the paintbrushes will be there after the rehab.

My kids found them back in '01 and again in '03...the prize was a certificate and a pass to the front of the line of either BTMRR or Splas Mtn. I t was very cool, and the certificate is a great souvee! I sure hope they are still there after the rehab! Not sure exactly where they found all of them, although one was right near the dock as you climb onto the island...and one was near the fortress.

I don't want to cheat, but yeah, I'm just curious where everyone has found paint brushes and how well they are usually hidden because last year I spent an hour on Tom Sawyer Island searching high and low and I didn't find any.

Yes! We found one on our trip at the end of September. It was located next to the fence that has some words painted on it. We found it 15 minutes before the island closed!

We were on the first raft over in August and although another little girl found a brush before us (on the ground in the middle of a path), we were first back to the raft. The CM gave DS not only the certificate for SM/BTMR, but also a fastpass-type voucher good for any ride. In the two trips that we've found brushes, both times they have been on top of crates.

I have heard of the paintbrush search but have never been involved, usually forget about it once I'm on the island, with being involved in other things .

I have not heard of a rehab for the island, what's the plan ?
