Do they steal your Disney antenna toppers??

I always buy 2 or 3 of the same toppers in case someone steals mine. I've lost 2 at the university already. I still have one backup of the gold anniv. mouse ears...just in case.

I stick straight pins thru mine. So if they get stolen, there's a good chance the little thief will think twice about it next time.

You would probably end up getting sued because the thieving g*t injured themselves.

My DP had his Nemo stolen off his car, and was heartbroken

Mine gets stolen all the time. I had the snowman w/the mickey ears and it got stolen all 3 times I replaced it!!! I won't be buying that one again

I found these great things on laughingplacestore.com. I have never had any stolen, but I like this idea better than sticking it on the antenna

The spring one isn't very big, only about 2 inches tall. Little old crafty me was going to try to figure out a way to make them, but for .77 why bother.
I don't usually frequent laughingplacestore.com, because their mark-up is a little ridiculous ($9.25 for a topper that is $3.95 at the park ), but I thought the gadgets were a great little deal.

Well I don't have an antenna, but I put them on my pen (read this somewhere here on the boards). I work at a bank, and my customers think it's too cute! Plus, I always know which coworker swiped my pen, "WHERE'S MICKEY?"

My mom has the different ones for all the holidays and when we go to a place we believe is "suspect" like the mall etc she pops it off an puts it in her purse, and then puts it back on when were leaving. A little extra effort, but those thigns aren't cheap anymore! The last one I bought was $7...

I've had my gold sparkly Mickey ears stolen off my car in my hometown. I guess someone needed it more than I did.

For our vacation next month I am taking a Seattle Mariners Jack in the Box antenna ball to help us find our rental car. I'm hoping someone doesn't steal it since we're at Disney, but who knows? Mean people lurk everywhere.

I usually bring extra strips of fabric for the antena to mark our location as who would take fabric. Pretty hard to undo a knot. I have my toppers in the back window just for display.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the regular DISboards, have been posting on the Wedding one...
Here's my question:
How the heck do you get the antena toppers on your antenna anyway? The hard ones don't fit over the top bit of my antenna which looks a bit like a thumbtack....and it doesn't come off...this is on my current car and my last one..

So, the only topper I got was the Sorcerer Hat one, because it was a "soft" one and fit over the top part of my antenna...do you know what I mean?

Anyway, yep, it was stolen about 6 months after I got it. In my own neighborhood!! I was parked on the street at the time....

I wouldn't mind getting some of the other toppers, but I can't figure out how to get them on!! Can anyone help me?

dh and my sister each had one and both got stolen off the car during the night within a month of getting back from wdw. wont be buying them again!!!

someone took the mickey head(3 rings) that was attached on the back of my VAN. They actually ripped it off,. I was disappoiinted. When we return i will try and get window stickers instead.
My atennae topper is now attached to a string from my rear view mirror instead.

I posted about a month ago about my sister having hers stolen. I was so mad!!

She has a medical condition that prevents her from working now and their financial situation is really bad. She's been to Disney once and the chances of her getting back there now are pretty slim. It may sound silly, but that silly antennae topper meant a lot to her.

I am heading to the World of Disney store in a couple weeks, so hopefully they have some there and I can get her one. I'm also looking into finding something that she can put inside her car so they can't steal it again.

Look for it on ebay! Maybe you can find the same one. I so regretted not buying the ones I'd seen at Disneyland in '06 so I searched this spring and bought the ones I'd wanted!

My golden anniversary mickey ears were stolen in a mall parking lot It just about broke my heart.
So my DH bought me a TOT mickey topper - and that one somehow ended up on the ground in the parking lot outside our apartment with the bellman's hat torn off. All I could find were the ears

I had a Stitch antenna topper stolen while my DS was at work - at the Disney Store: I bought a spring stand from the laughing place store - you attach the topper to the spring. The spring has an adhesive bottom you can use on your dashboard. I really wish I could leave it on the antenna but
I don't want to lose any more of them.

Do not try the SuperGlue thingy, please. There have been people who had their entire antennas snapped off by angry ball-stealers.

That is the best idea. Ever. I'm SOOOO doing that. We're borrowing my parent's van for the trip down in a month and I was gonna buy them a topper for a souvie and I will do this for them.

I had finally replaced my golden ears anniversary topper (which I had for over 2 years!). I then got a cute pirate Minnie topper, I must have only had it on for about 6 months. Someone stole my Minnie topper at work- and I work at an elementary school!!! Since most kids couldn't reach the antenna on my SUV, I'll hazard a guess that it might be a parent who did it... nice, huh?

My mother had her glittery silver mickey head stolen off the top of her car.
I always thought my brother was being paranoid when he insisted on taking his pirates topper off when he parked his car.My topper was bought on clearance at the Disney Store several years ago for .99 but I would be really upset if someone took it because it is light blue and matches my car perfectly.Luckily,since it is a simple design I don't think it appeals to the topper thieves much.
