Do they steal your Disney antenna toppers??

I used to be a CM at the Disney Store and we had people coming in all the time buying antena toppers because theirs were stolen. It must be a problem everywhere. :sad2: It is just such a shame that some people think that they are entitled to just take something like that from another person.

I had a Stitch antenna topper stolen while my DS was at work - at the Disney Store::eek: I bought a spring stand from the laughing place store - you attach the topper to the spring. The spring has an adhesive bottom you can use on your dashboard. I really wish I could leave it on the antenna but
I don't want to lose any more of them.

From reading this thread it seems like the glittery ones are more likely to get snagged. Luckily, mine have never been stolen. I do replace them when they start to get sun bleached, and worn out though. It's just another excuse to go back, "oh I need a new antenna ball anyway... :)

I have never had one stolen - one got picked off by a low tree branch, but I got it back :rotfl2:

I do always buy two just in case. On the LaughingPlace thread on this subject someone had theirs stolen in the DLR parking garage. Seemed to be a case of, "Oh wish I had bought this, I'll just take this one." Shameful!

Do not try the SuperGlue thingy, please. There have been people who had their entire antennas snapped off by angry ball-stealers.

Since we live so close by, if anyone has lost a particular favorite, please pm me and I am sure we can get another for you.

Recently my Dopey and Doc lawn gnome statues were stolen right out of my own front yard. I was really sad abt it. PLus they were not at all cheap. Who would do such a thing! My kids just abt cried. At least they left Snow White, but I fantacize that someday whoever did it will have a magical change of heart and return them to me.

My DD5 (at the time) spent some of her souvenier money to buy me a Minnie princess topper in 06. We hadn't been home 6 months when some moron stole it while I was in the grocery store. Broke my daughter's heart because it was her gift to me. DH said he would buy me another one in the fall, and we're going to super glue it on ;)

I've seen the springy things, but I wish they made a window one, with a suction cup so you can put the topper on it and have it looking out the window. I'd invent one myself if I had a clue how to go about doing that.

Now if someone steals my idea and patents it, I want a cut of the profits!

my antenna topper is still in tact, but I had a 7 inch tall vintage mickey magnet on the back of my car taht some punk swiped while we were at a movie one night.

I have one of those magnets - actually I bought one for hubby too. I still haven't put it on my car because I'm very afraid that someone will steal it. I think it's going to end up on my fridge.

No we have never had a problem with that.....our problem seems to be forgetting to take them off before we go thur the car wash. :rolleyes1

I stick straight pins thru mine. So if they get stolen, there's a good chance the little thief will think twice about it next time.

My husband has had his hanging from his rear view mirror for years using fishing wire. It's a big Ford F350 that pulls our camper to Fort Wilderness and it looks so cute to see that black antenna topper on a fire engine red truck.

I just recently bought a really cool Mickey anntena topper (it's black on the bottom with silver sparkly ears and sparkly royal blue on top and on one side says 'where dreams come true' and the other side says 'Walt Disney World') and a tag for the front for our trip in September and haven't put it on yet because I've been worried it would get stolen! I ordered them both from Ebay, cause I just got a new car and wanted it all decked out for our trip, plan to get more when I'm in WDW;). I had thought about hanging it from the rearview mirror for that reason, plus didn't want it to get messed up from weather.

So I think I've made up my mind to hang it from the mirror :yay:. So if I use thread or fishing line or whatever, what's the best way to attach it to the topper?

Thanks!:flower3:

I had a really cute minnie princess one with a sparkly pink hat that someone stole. Now my new car doesn't even have a real antenna, just one of those short, stubby ones. So now I can't have one.

i don't know anything about antenna toppers other then what they are, but can you hot glue them on?
or Crazy Glue'em?

Yes, you can. I find that GE silicone glue/caulk works best. It solves the next two problems, but, not the third.

Are we all sure the antenna topper was stolen? I've seen some that waived around so much I'm sure they will eventually just fly off at highway speeds.

I had mine stolen here in Ontario. What a bummer!! I had it for about 2 years without an issue. I had the Sorceror's / Mickey's ears one.

I plan on getting another one in about 6 weeks!!

I had a plain black Mickey head, and managed to keep it for about 6 years before it mysteriously disappeared.

My new car doesn't even have an antenna, so maybe I'll use the suggestion of hanging it from my rear view mirror. I'll definitely get a new one next January.

My Chicago-Bears-helmet-wearing Mickey Mouse antenna topper that I got at Soldier Field last year was stolen from the parking lot at my workplace about a week ago  :sad1: . They're sold online at the Chicago Bears store, so I plan on ordering a couple and hanging them from my rear-view mirror. Right now, I have a regular smiley-face topper with a Chicago Bears helmet - that will move outside to the antenna once I order new toppers...

At least I'll be working from home starting next week - I won't have to worry about things being stolen there. Seems to be a problem at my building...food labeled with other people's names, office supplies, and now antenna toppers... :confused3

I had a pink minnie topper from DLParis, someone stole it after it had been on my car for 2 years!!!!!

Really-someone stole an topper??!!??THAT STINKS! I hope no one takes my stitch topper-I searched all over 4 parks to find him again.I had seen him with my mom during our May trip and kicked myself for not picking him up then. When we went back in Sept. It took 6 days and tons of stores to finally find him:goodvibes ! He is soooo cute-he has a safari suit on and he looks like he is holding on for dear life to the anten.
