I know what you mean. Other than July a conference in Nasville, TN one time, it seems like I only get to go to conferences in cold weather cities in the middle of the winter.Lets hope these people are hard workers and don't like to visit Disney parksI wish my work would send me to an Orlando conference...instead I get sent to other parts of VA
Soooo my wonderful fellow DISers....Tim had to walk me off a Disney related ledge this week...sometimes these boards cause anxiety
I keep reading about rumors that starting this week free dining will be offered for certain weeks of the rest of the year....of course our week is blacked outAfter some research I realized that there are two LARGE conferences the week we are going, one being housed on property and a lot of moderate/deluxe hotels are booked during our stay
So I started freaking out about how horrible crowds might be and how horrible our vacation might be..finally Tim talked me down and I am hoping it will all be ok

Just avoid the Extra Magic Hours parks...and all will be well.![]()
I love those strawberry ladybugs! I'm not really a big fan of A Bug's Life, but that looks like such a fun evening.
I agree, the crowds will be fine. Once you get there, you'll have a great time, free dining or not.
Oh no! I can see where you'd be stressing about the conferences. I would think, though, that most of them would be working during the day, so only at nighttime would any issues arise. And, even, then I don't think it'll be too bad. It can't be worse than the holidays at WDW, and I didn't have too many problems with the crowds then.
Your food looks great! Love the pigs in a blanket and the chocolate pudding. I think it goes really well with the movie theme.![]()
Looks like a great day and I can't think of a better place to eat dinner than in a French-Canadian cellar.![]()
I'm sure Tim will love EPCOT... I've got to agree though, I'm kind of like you in the way that I kind of "grew into" EPCOT. I used roll my eyes and complain on EPCOT days when I was little, but I absolutely love that park now. I'm jealous that you got to work in Living with the Land... I minored in crop science in college and every time I ride through those greenhouses I'm always in awe. If I could work anywhere in the parks it would be in that pavillion.![]()
Mmmmm, Le Cellier! I am super excited for that soup... and I heard they have amazing bread as well!
Sounds like a fun day you have planned. As for MGM, I still call it that. Partially because that is what it was called the last time I was there, and partially because DHS doesn't roll off the tongue and there is no way I am going to say Disney Hollywood Studios.![]()
Ohhh my favorite park and my favorite restaurant...sounds like a fantastic day! Illuminations is now a favorite of mine too....I just love it....![]()
Hi there! Just joining in (better late than never, right?)
The title of your PTR sucked me in, and I am glad! It sounds like you have an awesome trip planned! And I have to say, I am jealous that you have a DBF who loves Disney and willingly plans with you. It's like pulling teeth to get my DH to have opinions on our trip!
I also am loving your theme nights! I am going to have to start those soon!
Can't wait to read more!![]()
