We'll be arriving 3 hours prior to other family members, I wanted to get them spray mist fans and refillable mugs (any other item suggestions are also welcome). Are spray mist fans sold at the SSR store?

Thanks!

I don't know if they sell them there, but did you know you can get the same exact thing at Walmart for like 5.00?? Its so much cheaper.

just a caution - personally i don't like them - we bought one 2 years ago and found the design useless.

the water comes out behind the fan so even if it's a fine mist it's hitting the back of the fan blades and just makes a mess instead of a nice refreshing mist.

the hole for the water should have come out in the middle of the blade then the movement would have pushed the mist toward your face

bad design (and not cheap either)

I've seen these recently at our local Dollar Tree... for $1 apiece, of course. Just a thought. :)

I checked WalMart and Target this last weekend and neither had them...seasonal thing. We have used them before, and they've worked fine for us. Just wanted to get my parents and my sister one too. I haven't checked Dollar stores yet, but will keep that in mind in case I have time to drop by.

We got ours at Walgreen's this past summer. Also saw them at Jewel/Osco.

We planned on buying ours at Walmart before the season ended. Well, we forgot. I hope we don't need them next May. I don't feel like paying $15 (or is is $25) for one.

Wow it really $15 to $25 now??? Last I remember it was closer to $10!

Approx.$15! The cost isn't important when you have family that can't take hot weather. The $15, while absurd, is well worth it if it helps in preventing someone from becoming ill or just being downright miserable. It effects everyones vacation.

This is what is known in my household as "LISA LOGIC". It is my way to justify to myself or family when I have to pay a "ridiculous price" for something.

I've never considered buying one before, but it was so hot when we were there in August, I did think about it. They definitely have them at the SSR store - I stood there deliberating for longer than dh could tolerate! :rotfl:

We were there in August. There was a family with 4 kids at a busstop who were spraying each other and the dad apologized for the mist hitting us. My dh said we didn't mind since we were thinking of getting one (it was definitely hotter than we remember). The dad said he must of taken forever to decided how many to buy BUT then decided that $60 for 4 was worth whatever sanity those mist fans bought. As far as he was concerned, it was worth every single penny of the $60 for 4 fans<G> And I will say, that the kids and adults that had mist fans, Disney or not, were a lot friendly bunch than the folks without.

From experience -- If your Disney fan mister breaks, a CM will replace it at any stand in the parks that sells them. THis has happened to us more than once, and no questions asked, it was replaced on the spot.

I just found out yesterday that the company who works in the office building we share with makes these things. There was a boatload of them sitting on a desk when I walked by.

I wish I would have known that before we dumped $30+ on them in Sept. I agree they kept the kids and us happy when we were melting in the sun.
