DH gets DD a pig piggy bank in each state he travels to.. and they were talking last night about how they need to get her one of those for Disney World.. I haven't seen one at the parks, has anyone else?

I can't recall precisely where, but I saw some -- they were pink pigs, though. Can't recall anything particularly Disney about them, though I'm sure there was something.

Yes. I saw about a million different ones! I was on the search for a new one for my "Disney Fund" change. ;)
I know I saw a bunch of different princess ones. I bought the one with Mickey and Friends standing in front of the castle. I love it:lovestruc

They have them. The last time we were there (April 2009) we saw a cute Snow White and the wishing well one at the Dwarf Mine (the shop by the Snow White ride) and they had a Cinderella Castle bank (and more) at Downtown Disney at WoD, and saw them at County Bounty in ToonTown too..I suspect they are everywhere, we just didn't notice them. If you didn't know they were banks you might overlook them because they look like plastic figurines. I have a Ratatouille and Emile bank we toss all our change in and cash out before each Disney trip. Surprising how much can get in there!

Hehe Disney Fund...I like that. We just call ours the "Disney Money". I like Disney Fund better, sounds more official! :)

My sister got a piggy bank in Epcot in Germany at the World Showcase. It's porcelain and has Mickey mouse on both sides but it doesn't say WDW and she got it back in the late 80s. I think they still sell piggy banks in Germany though. The most common banks I see are not pig shaped, they are just the plastic disney character banks.

A little over a year ago, I bought a Stitch bank at the "Everything Under $10" store at Downtown Disney. I think it was $5.00.
It's a pretty good size and it is just stitch with his mouth open with a slit in his mouth is where you drop your money. I looks like you are feeding him everytime you put your money in his mouth. DH and I still use it every day to put our spare change in. It was a great deal!

Wow lots of banks!

The porcelin pig one is one I am on the lookout for... but it gives me hope!

My daughter has one that looks like the castle and has the fab 5 on it. We actually just cashed it in today for our trip next week. :cool1: We love that piggy bank!! I can't remember for sure where we got it from though. Maybe from the store in Toontown?!?!?

Ooops. Sorry! I didn't realize you were literally looking for a "Piggy" bank.
I just assumed you meant any kind of bank! Obviously they have a lot of those.;)
I don't think I have ever seen a "Piggy" bank in the world.

DH and I still think Disney ought to make a Piglet bank and sell it at the Winnie the Pooh ride.

Since toy story has become such a big hit at DHS, is it possible they would sell a "pig" bank there to match the piggy bank character in the movie?? I haven't been there to know, just thought this might be your best bet for an actual "pig" bank.

I have this bank, also. I got mine at the World of Disney store in DTD. :goodvibes
