Do they search your bags?

Hi folks,

We leave for US this Sunday and stay for 7 days at the Hard Rock. I am wondering if they search book bags on your way into the park.

I had a friend come back from WDW last year and she said there was a long line everyday to get your bag searched. If you were not carrying a bag, you could waltz right in. With two kids, it is convenient to carry a bag with all our stuff in it but not that convenient to wait in a long line.

Thx,
Dave

Here's a tip: as soon as you enter the turnstiles, have your bag(s) open and ready for searching. This will make it a smoother process for you and the security guard.

Also, the size of the line depends on the time you go to the parks. If you enter the parks at 10:27, you'll probably have less of a line then if you entered at 9.

I very much agree. I carry a backpack when we travel and last Fall, when we were there, I opened my backpack, took my camera out and showed it to them in my hand and they didn't even have to "poke around" in there and we were only a few seconds until waved through. You really can help them do their job in a quick manner by cooperating! They were all very pleasant when we came through too. I don't mind the check at all.
