Do they give out free water at Universal?

Yes, anywhere you go. Just ask and it will be in a small plastic cup.

We still carry our refillable because they will fill those with water. Also any Coke freestyle machine will allow to fill with ice and water.

I'm pretty sure it's State Law at any theme park in FL that water is free on request.

Anywhere that has a soda fountain you can ask for a cup of water.

Also of note, they have the coke freestyle machines outside and inside at various places at both parks. You can get ice and very cold water with those, even if you don't have one of the freestyle cups.

Definetely filtered as it's very drinkable....

We still bring in our Igloo MaxCold backpack with waters, because we like having water absolutely on demand, without having to wait in a line. And I personally have never passed a freestyle machine without a clump of confused looking people gathered around it, so even those have lines when I've noticed them.

The ones we hit for water are, Louie's, Richter's, Burger Digs, the food stand by Jurassic drop. The nice thing about the Freestyles is even the water itself is ice cold and filtered.
