This is probably a silly question....but do you think that if I waited until after lunch to get a stroller, they'd all be taken? We'll be in MK of the 4th of July.

July 4th is huge crowd day,I would get stroller when you arrive at park. :flower: :goodvibes :wizard:

Maybe if the people renting strollers for their big lazy kids (not the ones who might need them because of medical problems- but why not get a wheelchair instead) or to lug around all their stuff, there might be enough for the people who actually need them for their smaller children. :firefight

Well, my kid is 6. She's not lazy, but we'll be walking around MK from 8:00 a.m. till after midnight, and there is absolutely no way that she'll last that long without a stroller.

uppermomma I would get the stroller when you arrive then when she needs a break from walking you have it. :goodvibes

Totally agree! We opted for not getting a stroller for our 6 yr old one year. By 6:00, she was in tears and ended up in her baby brother's stroller. Since then, we rent a double stroller because they want to ride together. We don't worry about them getting lost, and the day is a lot nicer without the whining. She'll be 2 weeks away from 8 yrs old when we go in October - we will still be getting that double stroller for her and our 4 yr old to share.

on several occasions especially the summer and holidays when i have been in the world they have run out of strollers. this was by like 10am. if you want a stroller i would get it early.

When my kids were 6 years old they would spend the whole day at WDW and it never occured to us to get a stroller. They were healthy and full of energy so they walked like we did. They would have been insulted if we had suggested they get a stroller.. that was for "babies". My how the world has changed. No wonder we have an obesity problem with todays youth. If they are healthy let them walk, it will do them good. JMHO!

On July 4th, you will want to get to MK at opening because there's a very good chance that it will close due to the high capacity. Get the stroller fairly early. Your daughter might want to use it earlier in the day because of the heat.

P.S. If you want to avoid the traffic jam that the MK crowd makes, go to Epcot

We have been numerous times and they have run out of strollers. One time at Epcot, and this was early in the morning, they ran out of strollers and offered us a wheelchair. We said no, leave it for someone that really needs it. Now the thing that iritated us, was that there was a family that must have got a wheelchair and really took advantage of it, that didn't really need it.I can say that everyone of them were running around just fine. I felt sorry for some families that went to see Illuminations at night, and there are sections for truly handicapped people, and they can't get into the section because of some people. I agree, get a stroller right away. Less headache!

I just wanted to share a thought with you on why they might not use the wheelchair. Some older children with special needs sometimes need a stroller and a wheelchair is not appropriate for them. For example a child with autism might need a 'safe place' to get away from sensory overload or people overload. Strollers can provide this place for them, so keep in mind, you never know why someone has a stroller for older children. Also sometimes the wheelchairs are not an appropraite size for the child, you just never know. :confused3 This is just my opinion and not meant to offend anyone. :)

This is a thread asking if the parks run out of strollers.

It is NOT free forum to debate who should and who should not be in a stroller.

Keep it on topic, please.
