Do they check the name on the ADR to make sure they are in your party?

Ok, I hope I'm not violating any rules or starting a huge debate by asking this question. I will be in WDW in December and am hoping to score a LeCellier ADR. I am trying multiple times per day and stalking the December cancellation thread and patiently waiting for some pixe dust. What bothers me is that there was a post that someone had cancelled LC ADR's and had coordinated with a fellow DISer but the DISer was unable to book their cancelled ADR. Now, if a do find a DISer who has a LC cancellation and is willing to share, how big a deal would it be if they left their name on the ADR and just gave me their name and the confirmation number. I am trying to play by the rules and don't want to get anyone in trouble or get turned away at the podium. I realize that there are rumors that multiple ADRs may get cancelled but could the original ADR holder change their contact number to my number to possibly eliminate the possibility of the cancellation. TIA!

Trading of ADRs is no longer allowed by Disney and that's the reason that the board has changed their guidelines. (You used to be able to give away your reservation on the phone with a Disney Dining Agent by saying "I have a reservation for LeCellier and I want to put Mary Jones' name on that")

Giving an ADR is essentially a trade and not supported by the boards anymore. Sorry.

Keep an eye on the canceled ADR thread and also keep checking online. People from all over the world are constantly canceling and making new reservations. It's very possible that you can pick up one of the reservations that someone else cancels (or they could 'accidentally' pick up an ADR that was intended to be a 'cancel grab' that was arranged via PMs on the DIS)

Thanks! Like I said, I didn't want to break the rules but the prior LC post just had me wondering if WDW was not releasing the LC cancellations for some reason (maybe holding onto them because of the free dining and hoping for a paying customer due to the popularity of CP). Coincidentally I was just pixie dusted and was able to coordinate a cancellation and it worked out perfectly!
