Do they charge for parking at resorts and if so how much? Can I move my car to the parking garage on my checkout day and not pay again?

The only thing I hate at the universal hotels is that dam parking fee.. Grrr
I don't like paying the fee either, but I don't think it fair for people who don't have a car to pay for it in the room cost. If you have a car just factor that into your cost.![]()
I agree, I travel for work in Denver and when staying downtown it is around $20 a night parking or more for the hotels we stay at. Also, BIL was looking to book Cocoa Key there and they wanted $22 resort fee every day. I like the fact that if I need 2 rooms, which we normally do, we are only charged for 1 car unlike being charged a resort fee per room.the parking fees at the Darkside hotels are not bad.
i went to a meeting downtown chicago which was held at the Holiday Inn.
parking costs for me was $39 for a 3 hour stay.
this is when you are starting to talk about real money.
IMHO the room price is high enough...

That's subject to opinion. I feel for the whole experience it's quite reasonable. The problem is everyone wants to book for the free unlimited express. Yes that's on benefit, but the hotel cost includes many other benefits and that as a whole is what you are paying for.

That's why I said IMHO LOL
this is nowhere Florida.
I agree with you. When a hotel that you're staying at charges you for parking, especially considering the location, I see this as gouging.
This is not downtown NY, Chicago, Paris, London ... or even Toronto -- this is nowhere Florida.
Our choice not to rent a car for this trip --- was greatly helped by this factor.
My 2 cents.
