do the rides close when it rains

had a change of plans and am now going 7/16 to 7/23- and am officially booked & paid in full

have never been in the summer- when it rains do the outside rides close- do people start running for cover thus leaving shorter lines for me

Our first trip there was a hurricane off the coast and rained everyday!!
Dont let the rain spoil your trip. Buy some rain ponchos and enjoy your day. The rain comes and goes.
If there isnt threatening lightening the rides dont shut down.

We just went 6/10-6/11. It rained heavily the 10th morning. BtM-RR did not run again that day or the next.

A lot of the outside rides do close when it rains SM,BTMRR for example but the rides that are protected do continue to run.

Most all outdoor rides will shut down when raining. Most also shut down if there is lighting within 5 miles of the park due to safety reasons.

We were on BTMRR at night once when it started raining in the middle of the ride. When we came out of one of the caves the rain hit us and it hurt like heck!! Not only did we get drenched, but it really stung. You really don't won't to be on rides that are outside like that when it's raining. Although I do remember uncontrollable laughter from everyone when we got off due to the surprise element of it all. Just making the best of it, I guess. There'll be plenty to do, even if it rains.

My advice is to buy a better-quality rain poncho at Walmart before you go. They are cheaper than the "Mickey" ones in the parks. That way, it won't rain at all! Worked for us in June of 2001!
