Do the resort doors have a "soft" close?

Hello,

Maybe this is a strange question, but I have spent many a sleepless night at budget and moderate motels/hotels listening to doors slam up and down the halls. The more expensive hotel doors have a soft close and make very little noise when closing.

Do any of you remember what the Disney doors are like? Does it vary from the value resorts to deluxe, or are they the same everywhere?

If I remember correctly the doors at the WL have a loud close.

The automatic closing on them is oud and even worse guests that use the door latch as a door jam and then proceed to let it go bam, bam, bam as they come and go. Very annoying, the maids do this too.

I do not remember it being any less at the deluxe resorts, seems the doors were all very similar.

I hold mine and close it myself so it does not make so much noise.

From my experience at the value resorts- the doors close soft (and slow- I'd have to wait to make sure they shut all the way each time LOL) EXCEPT WHEN the door latch/lock is flipped over to keep the door from completely closing- then it BANGS on it hard and loud.

I think the newer resorts (All Stars, POP etc) all have soft close doors, but the others seemed pretty loud.

Thanks for the info! I'm glad to hear that Pop has a softer close because that's where we'd like to stay. I figured it would be just the opposite - that the value resorts would be the loudest. Good news!

The noise of the doors and the toilets are the worst. I could hear every time the people next to us took a shower,flushed a toilet,and left their room. We stayed at the Pop. I'm sure most of the hotels are similar. We just seemed to get used to it. Also the beds at the pop are horrible. I think it took me a week to get my back in order when we came home.
