do the plant watering globes really work?

Is there anywhere you can purchase them other than mail order? I know sometimes the "only seen on tv" items show up in various stores including Bed Bath and Beyond.

Try walmart. They had some a few weeks ago.
I will PM the 2 people here who were intererested in trying them. I meant to just order 1 set but ordered 2. So I ended up with 8 aqua globes. So I will send the extra 2 out . All I ask is that you "pass it on":thumbsup2

You are swesome, Thanks so much for the offer and the pixie dust :wizard: , DIS Friends are the best!!!! I will pass on some magic to another DISer.

If anyone has an extra one I would love to try it. My duaghters see these on T.V. every weekend and beg me to buy them. But wondered how they worked. I would pay you for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw these on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond last month. I think they were on sale for $15 for a three pack, plus I had a $5.00 off coupon. I wish I had bought some now!

Walgreen's has a set of two in the "as seen on TV" section, $9.99. CVS might, as well.

It's good to know these work. I have a plant in my house that I keep forgetting to water, I feel so bad for it! This might be the solution for me. Are they sold in stores yet, or just online?

All of our Walgreen's stores here in my hometown (Pensacola, FL) sell these glass waterglobes (Walgreen's sells many of the "As Seen On TV" items!). These are the same brand as the ones from tv -- you get two to a box, they are assorted colors.

Also, Target sometimes has an endcap with the "As Seen On TV" stuff... my mom said she THOUGHT she had seen the magic waterglobes there too.

I think I might be ready to buy a set and give it a go! I cannot seem to keep plants alive.

It might seem a little hokey but I simply use an empty wine bottle - no extra anything - just fill the bottle with water and stick it upside down in my plants! It works GREAT and definately is cheap (even cheaper since all my bottles are Charles Shaw/2 buck Chuck!)

I recieved by aquaglobe in the mail today, all Christmasy and wrapped in Cars Christmas paper, what a nice treat. Thanks so much natenapril. As I said before DIS friends are the best. Now it's my turn to share some magic :wizard: !!!

I used to travel a lot on business - plus I telecommuted for a couple of years when my mother was sick. So I never knew if I was going to be home to water my outside plants.

I bought some of the drip tubing that they sell at Lowe's or Home Depot. It is right by the lawn sprinkler stuff. They have connections that you can hook it up to a timer for outdoors to a regular faucet not just a sprinkler system.

I had mine turn on daily to water my plants in pots. It worked great - even when I was home I depended on it. Once I set it up I never had to fill anything.
