Until you've seen the magic on the face of a child who really believes, getting an autograph ,its hard to understand. We took a trip once with some friends of ours, a family of all ages. The grandma didn't really understand the whole autograph thing. Our first day was at MGM and we had just left the Great Movie Ride and were walking down toward the back lot tour. I said that Mickey was down this street. The grandma (who lives 45 mins from Disney and goes all the time) said we have a character meal booked with Mickey, they'll meet him then. I said okay, but peeked into the area where Mickey as we walked by. There were only four other kids waiting. The young ones on our trip (5 and 6) really weren't enjoying MGM very much and I knew they would love meeting the characters. I said, are you sure we don't want to stop - there are only four kids waiting right now. So we stopped, got the kids books and pens out (I had bought them earlier) and went in. The little girls eyes got as big as saucers and she had a great big smile on her face. She turned and looked at her mom and said ITS MICKEY!!! She literally jumped up and down when it was her turn to meet the mouse. They LOVED the characters. As we were leaving the grandma looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, thank you I just didn't know how special it would be for them.
