Do the DVC resorts offer a "late check-out" option?

I am in the process of changing my reservations from CBR to OKW.

At the Disney moderates, you can request a late check-out (great for people who have late flights leaving Orlando).

Do the DVC resorts offer this? The moderates usually charge about 1/2 of one night's rate to do this.

Thanks

No, because it is a timeshare, they don't allow this.

While there is no late check out, you can have them store your luggage.

On our last visit we left our luggage with the front desk and spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon. At the end of the day, we collected our luggage and went to the airport. Very painless, and very effective.

Theoretically, they don't. However, in actuality, things are occassionally different. Whem we were in HH once, we were told that our studio wasn't ready yet (this was at around 1:00) because the previous guests had late checkout, then housekeeping had to clean. DH and I figured that maybe there was a sick child or something, that's why they had special circumstances.

We've had it once at OKW - we were able to stay until 1 pm. That was quite a while ago, though......'93!

I love late check outs. Even though I knew in advance I probably wouldn't be able to get one, I did request one at BWV and SSR and was turned down at both.

My wife and I always take the late flight home so that we will have most of the last day to just do what ever at Disney. We check our bags to the resort(BWV) in the am. If need be we come a few times to change into what ever or get what ever. The bell hops are no problem, just give them a couple of bucks and they will let you in and out of the bagage area as many times as you want. There are plenty of bathrooms around to use for cleaning up or changing. It's really not that big a deal, but they will not let you do a late check out at any DVC resorts. If U happen to be in the room around 11am don't be surprised if the cleaning crew comes in to start there work.

If I have a late flight home I check-out and then hang around the pool for the afternoon. I get lunch at Olivia's or a snack. Since my luggage is in the car I can grab a change of clothes easily.

Yes, use the bellmen to come get your bags into storage. We did so at VWL a few weeks back, took in three parks, came back to VWL, swam at the pool, cleaned off and changed clothes in the restrooms near the health club, then picked up our bags from a bellman and headed off to the airport. Quite painless and cost only a few dollars for tipping.
