Do the CS places allow substitutions?

I have one super picky dd who sometimes won't even touch a plate if there is something she doesn't like on it. I am wondering if, that at places like Tangerine Cafe they would subsitute the Tabboule for extra cous cous. That is just an example, but I think for her I could actually get her to eat decent food it they allow subs at some places.

Last Dec at Columbia Harbor House in MK I was allowed a child's grapes cup instead of fries but that doesn't really help you with child's subs. I think children usually have a few choices anyway. Did you look on allears.net menus?

I have no idea about subbing sides. I know that Flame Tree at AK won't substitute sides. I think it will be up to the restaurant.

I did look on allears. My dd is a Disney adult and therefore will be ordering from the regular menu. She doesn't really eat any typical kid fare anyway. I guess we will just deal with it the best we can.

I didn't actually change this for something else but at Captain Cook's in the Polynesian when I ordered their Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich I was able to get it without Blue Cheese, so I don't think they mind if you take off an item.

Typically if a side is listed for another entree on the menu you can substitute it. However, if the side is listed separately farther down on the menu and has a price point, it cannot be substituted, but can be purchased separately.

At Tangierine Cafe if tabouleh and couscous are sides on the same entree, asking for a double serving of one and omitting the other seems okay to me, but every restaurant has its own rules so there's no way of knowing what requests will be permitted.

The earlier mention of Flame Tree at AK is because people often ask about substituting fries for baked beans or cole slaw and it is not allowed.

At Tangerine Cafe I have subed the side of olives many times for the cous cous.
